Interview with Da-mi Kim from the movie ‘Soulmate’
Actress Jeon So-ni mentioned Song Hye-kyo.
On the morning of the 9th, Jeon So-ni told various stories related to the upcoming movie 'Soul Mate' (director Min Yong-geun) at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul.
'Soul Mate' is the story of two friends, Miso (played by Da-mi Kim), Ha-eun (played by So-ni Jeon), and Jin-woo (played by Woo-seok Byeon), who recognized each other from their first meeting and shared everything together, including joy, sadness, excitement, and longing.
In the play, Jeon So-ni played Ha-eun. Ha-eun, behind her calm and neat appearance, is a person with a stronger heart than anyone else. She is a deep friend who longs for the freedom of a smile, but also serves as a strong fence so that she can always come back.
Song Hye-kyo attended the VIP screening of 'Soul Mate' at the invitation of Jeon So-ni. He posted a photo from the preview on social media and cheered for Jeon So-ni. The two worked together in the drama 'Boyfriend'. Even after the drama ended, they maintained their friendship despite being 10 years apart.
On this day, Jeon So-ni said, "My sister told me that she really liked it because it left a lasting impression. I'm embarrassed to say it with my own mouth, but she praised me a lot and said that my acting was good. She also said that she was grateful and that it was good."
‘Soulmate’ will be released on the 15th. Jeon So-ni said, "I'm really grateful that I was able to release it. I think a movie doesn't end when it's completed, but it's all about the audience accepting it. It's special and nice to be able to show it to the audience and greet them at the theater. These days, it's so special." “I don’t know how hard it is,” he said with a laugh.
Jeon Sony said she has seen the completed film three times, even before its release. He said, "I wanted to see it (that much). I like it. I didn't worry too much about the finished product. The particular scene was one where I could feel that we were all working together, including director Min Yong-geun and the staff. Until it was completed. “It wasn’t the feeling of ‘I don’t know what’s going to come out of it.’ It was a work I had been waiting for with anticipation. Even after watching the movie, I might feel regretful as someone who made it, but it is a work I have no regrets about. I’m glad to see it in the theater.”
Also, "I liked it when I first saw it. The more I watched it, the better it got. I saw a lot of things I couldn't see the first time. I remembered the meanings I had forgotten while filming. In fact, after watching it several times, there were parts that even Jinwoo understood. Our movie has a better story flow. “When looking at the whole thing, the emotions expressed by the actors can be read differently depending on the information I know. It was fun to see that part again.”
Meanwhile, 'Soulmate' will be released on the 15th.
