'You Quiz' Professor Lee Ji-seon "I suffered full-body burns due to a drunk driver"

Professor Lee Ji-seon revealed that the reason she suffered full-body burns in the past was because of a traffic accident caused by a drunk driver.

The tvN entertainment show 'You Quiz on the Block', which aired on the 22nd, featured a special 'lucky happy enjoy' and featured pianist Seong-jin Cho, actor Do-hyun Lee, and Ji-sun Lee, a professor at the Department of Social Welfare at Ewha Womans University.

Professor Lee Ji-seon suffered burns all over her body in a car accident when she was a 23-year-old college student. Professor Ji-seon Lee returned to her alma mater after 23 years and took the podium.

Professor Lee Ji-seon recalled her college days, saying, “I was attending the Department of Early Childhood Education, and at the time of the accident, I was interested in children with developmental delays, so I was preparing for graduate school while studying that.” He continued, “I was returning home, and I was going home in the car of my older brother, who was attending the school next door. We stopped at a red light and had a normal conversation when a drunk driver coming from behind hit our car. The car caught fire after colliding with six other cars, and the fire caught on to my body. “While they were taking me out, my brother caught fire as well.”

Professor Lee Ji-seon said, “I don’t remember much, but from what I heard from my brother, the doctors told me to say goodbye because my younger brother had no pulse and not because of burns,” and joked, “But he’s still not gone.” He continued, “When I regained consciousness, I was unable to speak because I was wearing an oxygen humidifier. I kicked my foot and said, ‘Where am I?’ It was like that. “My mother came in at that time and explained that I was ‘severely injured.’”

Professor Lee Ji-seon underwent surgery for the first time 10 days after the accident. He said, “After removing the damaged skin, the feeling of pain became stronger. The pain is enormous. I became skinless. I need to get disinfected to prevent infection. I wondered if this was a sound that could only be heard in hell. “I had that kind of time,” he said.

Professor Ji-seon Lee said she first saw her burnt condition while treating a wound on the back of her head. Professor Lee Ji-seon said, “It was the first time I had seen this scene since I was born. I noticed that there was no skin on my legs called flesh-colored skin. “I had a gut feeling that it was an unsurvivable situation,” he said. “My mom said, ‘Promise me you won’t hurt me again.’ “He prayed,” he said. “All I could do at the time was endure the pain and eat. “He survived and came out of the intensive care unit.”
