Actor Ahn Jae-hong expressed his feelings about participating as the oldest actor in the movie 'Rebound'.
On the afternoon of the 28th, a press screening for the movie 'Rebound' (directed by Jang Hang-jun) was held at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Director Jang Hang-jun, Ahn Jae-hong, Lee Shin-young, Jeong Jin-woon, Kim Taek, Jeong Geon-ju, Kim Min, and Ahn Ji-ho attended the press conference held after the preview.
'Rebound' is a miraculous story of 8 days during the 2012 National High School Basketball Tournament, when a new coach and 6 players of the weakest basketball team that no one paid attention to ran tirelessly. It is based on the true story of Busan Jungang High School's success in the 2012 Korea Basketball Association Long National Middle and High School Basketball Tournament.
In the play, Ahn Jae-hong plays the role of coach Kang Yang-hyeon. Coach Kang Yang-hyun is a former national tournament MVP and a public service worker who will coach Busan Jungang High School.
On this day, Ahn Jae-hong said, "It was a new feeling as an older person. While my friends were filming, I was looking at the stadium from the coach's seat as a coach, and it was strange because a lot of images of me playing foot volleyball from about 10 years ago overlapped. It could have been a coincidence, or it could have been inevitable. “At that time, my uniform was white and blue,” he said.
He continued, "I thought I could better understand the feelings of those friends. While filming, I thought that I could understand and sympathize with the feelings I went through in my 20s better than anyone else. We talked a lot with our friends. We talked about what was difficult. "As I was working on the game scene, I was worried that I might get injured if I went into the game with only motivation, so I talked a lot about pouring in while making arrangements since it was the round of 16. That energy helped me in my acting," he added.
Meanwhile, 'Rebound' will be released on April 5.
