Broadcaster Boom, along with Young Tak and Song Jin-woo, achieved the mukbang dream he had been dreaming of for three years.
In MBC's 'It's a Good Thing We Don't Fight' that aired on the 3rd, Boom, Young Tak, and Song Jin Woo were depicted heading to the next island on a non-powered boat to take care of themselves.
On this day's broadcast, Boom searched through the cracks in the rocks, just as he had seen and learned in the studio. Just as village chief Ahn Jung-hwan taught that cracks in the rocks are a lottery, they discovered a variety of seafood, including conches and stone sea squirts.
Boom didn't just succeed on his own, he took part in an impromptu mukbang that the studio was so envious of. For this purpose, he thoroughly prepared everything, including knives and vinegar, and went through a thrilling cutting ceremony before tasting the rock sea squirt. For Boom, who had only imagined mukbangs, real mukbangs were truly a new world. Not only Boom, but also Young Tak and Song Jin-woo were impressed by the taste of stone sea squirt, full of the scent of the sea.
Next, the three people tried fishing. Before fishing, Boom boasted that he was a “fishing veteran” and said, “I once beat senior Lee Gyeong-gyu for fishing,” and “A picture of the fish I caught was used as the picture of the fish Kwon Sang-woo “caught in a drama.” When the drama scene and the original photo of Boom were released, the expectations of everyone watching increased.
Boom started fishing with a determined expression, putting Young Tak and Song Jin Woo's bait on the fishing rod. However, their fishing trip ended in a huge failure as they threw caught on the bottom. Boom made people laugh when he apologized and said, "Actually, I only tried it once where the captain told me the points." Still, the crab insurance that Boom trusted did not betray them. A happy dinner was predicted by obtaining various fish such as mullet, goby, eel, and swordfish.
Menus that Boom had been dreaming of for three years, including conch mixed noodles, fried eel and swordfish, grilled conch, mullet and goby spicy stew, were selected as dinner menus. As Boom had been looking forward to the mukbang, he was thoroughly familiar with the recipe and took the lead in the cooking process.
Among them, Young Tak prepared mullet for maeuntang (maeuntang) and even made seasoning for conch bibim noodles by learning Boom's old-fashioned recipe (gochujang-vinegar-sugar-minced garlic). While Young Tak's growth from being a poor cook caught everyone's attention, Young Tak prepared the mullet more skillfully than before.
It was a happy ending full of laughter and applause. Boom, who enjoyed a different kind of happiness than in the studio, answered "eggplant" without hesitation to Song Jin-woo's last question, "Are you going to come again in the future?" Ahn Jung-hwan, who was watching this, pledged, "I will send it once a month," raising expectations for the boom that will unfold in the future.
Meanwhile, the 117th episode of 'It's a Good Thing We Don't Fight' recorded a viewership rating of 6.4% (provided by Nielsen Korea, nationwide), maintaining the top spot among Monday entertainment programs in the same time slot for 50 consecutive weeks . In addition, the household viewership rating ranked first among all entertainment programs broadcast on Monday, and the 2049 viewership rating, a key indicator of channel competitiveness, also ranked first overall on Monday.
