The love story of scene-stealing couple Lee Bong-ryeon and Lee Gyu-hoe is revealed for the first time.
Actress Lee Bong-ryeon, who is currently enjoying her prime 18 years after her debut by appearing in dramas such as 'Strange Lawyer Woo Young-woo', 'Suriname', and 'Ilta Scandal', is starring in the SBS entertainment program 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 - You Are My Destiny' (hereinafter referred to as 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2'). In an earlier studio recording, Lee Bong-ryeon garnered attention by revealing her love story with her husband, actor Lee Gyu-hoe, for the first time.
Lee Bong-ryun married actor Lee Gyu-hoe, a theater company senior, in 2019. Lee Kyu-hoe showed off his strong presence by playing the role of the father of main character Yoon Hyun-woo (played by Song Joong-ki) in the drama 'Chaebol Family's Youngest Son', which was considered one of the most talked-about works of last year, and the role of Kang Jin-mook, a serial killer with duality, in the drama 'The Host'.
Lee Bong-ryeon cited a business trip to Japan to perform as the reason the two started dating. Lee Bong-ryeon said, “The day before I left the country, he said he would buy me food, so I went out and he gave me ‘this.’ “Because I’m very shy, I think it was a very senior-like expression,” he said, revealing the story behind his relationship. Because of this, Lee Bong-ryeon is said to have wondered if Lee Gyu-hoe is interested in her, raising curiosity.
While talking about her father, who passed away after a battle with cancer, Lee Bong-ryeon expressed her gratitude toward Lee Gyu-hoe. Lee Bong-ryeon revealed that Lee Kyu-hoe, her lover when her father was fighting illness, always took her to concert halls in Seoul and hospitals in Daegu, even in the early hours of the morning.
Lee Bong-ryeon said, “I couldn’t see my dad outside of those times, but thanks to that, I can go every day. “It gave me so much strength and gave me a lot of will,” he said, revealing that he and Lee Gyu-hoe ended up becoming a couple after a long-term relationship of over 7 years.
