According to Ten Asia's exclusive report on the 10th, Song Ga-in underwent vocal cord nodule surgery at the end of March and is currently recovering. It is said that Song Ga-in has suffered from vocal cord nodules for a long time. Song Ga-in was shown receiving vocal cord treatment on TV Chosun's 'Taste of Mother', which aired in August 2019.
An official from Song Ga-in's side told Ten Asia, "Song Ga-in underwent vocal cord nodule surgery using laser and injection," and "she is currently undergoing a recovery period."
According to officials, Song Ga-in needs about a month to recover her vocal cords, and needs to save her throat for at least the next two weeks. An official said, "We are trying to avoid scheduling as much as possible, and in the case of schedules that cannot be canceled inevitably, we are proceeding with only conversation and no singing."
Regarding Song Ga-in's current throat condition, he explained, "Currently, I can't sing well after the procedure, but it's not a big problem and I expect my vocal cords will improve after recovery."
Meanwhile, Song Ga-in, who debuted in 2012, rose to stardom by wearing the crown of 'Jin' through TV Chosun's 'Miss Trot Tomorrow' in 2019. Song Ga-in, a Korean traditional music major, is loved as she continues the lineage of the ‘trot queen’.
