Korea's first mystery hotel survival game will be held to win up to 300 million won in prize money.
On the 12th, the production presentation of TVING's original 'The Time Hotel' was broadcast live online. Producer Nam Kyung-mo, Hong Jin-ho, Hwang Je-seong, John Park, Raewon, Shin Ji-yeon, Kim Nam-hee, Kim Hyun-gyu, and Chloe attended the event.
'The Time Hotel' is a new concept hotel survival where 10 guests try to survive as the last person standing to win a prize of up to 300 million won at the Time Hotel, where you can buy everything with time instead of money, and you check out the moment you run out of time. Survival entertainment.
Producer Nam Kyung-mo explained, "You get time as a prize, and you use the time to use the hotel's services. If you don't get time or use it too much, you check out the moment 0 hours are reached."
When asked about the planning intention, PD Nam said, "As a long-time fan of the brain survival genre, I was thinking about what could be new and thought about time and hotels. Viewers don't like the performers to be comfortable, so I want to give them painful situations, but I don't want the situations to be too extreme. "I thought it would be different to bully people in a nice place like a hotel because it would be noticeable if I put it in," he said. "I also wanted to bully them for 24 hours a day. Usually, in survival entertainment shows, the contestants feel relieved after the main match, but I wanted to take that relief away. They could fall at any time. “I wanted to make people feel like they could do it,” he said.
Hong Jin-ho, the winner of the brain survival show 'The Genius: Rules of the Game' and a former first-generation professional gamer, said, "It was fun even though the device of time was unfamiliar to me. 'The Time Hotel' was not about being good at the game, but saving time was also important. “As someone who has played a lot of survival games, I felt a sense of responsibility to lead the game and show a superior and superior performance,” he said.
Hong Jin-ho then said, "I had never experienced how to use my time, so it was unfamiliar to me. I simply approached it ignorantly in order to get more time than others. I starved and didn't use it." In response, comedian Hwang Je-seong revealed, "So I caused a lot of damage to those around me. I'm the only one who doesn't know."
When asked if he felt any pressure as the winner of Brain Survival, Hong Jin-ho said, "There was a lot of pressure. Since I had not appeared on a survival program for a long time, I thought what would happen if I failed without being able to do anything. I came out with the idea of taking on a challenge."
Hong Jin-ho will also appear in Wave's original 'Blood Game 2', which will be released on the 28th. Regarding the similar release period, he emphasized, "It's the same survival game, but the game is different and the members are different, so you'll be able to see a new side of yourself."
Comedian Hwang Hwang-seong said, “I am in charge of a worker ant in ‘The Time Hotel.’ I acted the most sincerely among the members.” Kim Nam-hee refuted this by saying, “I cannot agree.”
John Park, a singer who graduated from the prestigious Northwestern University in the United States, said, "I found out my position later. I am a clear-eyed madman. People younger than me say they are scared of me. I have never scared them, and I have never wanted to."
John Park chose Hong Jin-ho as an anti-war character. He explained, "He appeared in a lot of survival games, and because he was a professional gamer, he had a strong competitive spirit, but he also had a gentle and soft side. While there is Hong Jin-ho, who we know has a brilliant mind, there is also a gentle and foolish side of his older brother."
Shin Ji-yeon, a graduate of the University of Toronto, Canada, who appeared in 'Solo Hell', said, "When I decided to appear, I had both expectations and fears. If 'Solo Hell' was about winning someone's heart and emotions, 'The Time Hotel' was about time and money. “I felt like I could show a new charm because I was getting it,” he said. “I tried to play cleanly and honestly.”
Kim Nam-hee, a former SBS sports announcer and Mensa member with an IQ of 156, said, "I didn't know I was such a competitive person. I thought I had no desire to win," and added, "Raewon asked me if I was sincere when I played games, and I never said anything. “I said I never thought about failing. I am the princess notebook here. I am good at taking notes. There were a lot of secret items in it.”
Chloe, a member of the girl group Signature who is currently attending the University of Michigan in the United States, said, “I was the youngest, so I followed them around with a blank look in my eyes.”
The members said, "If you go to 'The Time Hotel', there is a fierce battle of wits, traitors, trash, Hong Jin-ho, shocking meals and side dishes, gaslighting, a suite, and the winning prize of 300 million won. “There is,” he said.
‘The Time Hotel’ will be released simultaneously from episodes 1 to 4 on TV at 4 PM on the 12th.
