Yoo Ah-in makes a direct rebuttal to drug smoking
Actor Yoo Ah-in's (real name Uhm Hong-sik, 37) agency directly refuted reports of drug use.

On the 12th, Yoo Ah-in's agency, UAA, refuted some of the reports through an official press release, saying, "We will take active legal action against speculative reports with unconfirmed facts and 'kadera' style reports."

Regarding the report that Yoo Ah-in did drugs with friends such as models and broadcasters at a club in Itaewon, UAA said, "It was written solely based on the informant's eyewitness account. I would like to ask how the informant's claims were verified. “We plan to take legal action.” “It is,” he said.

At the same time, regarding the clubs mentioned in the report, he claimed, "The lounge clubs we confirmed did not allow smoking in indoor spaces and had separate open smoking areas." He then emphasized, “The report has spread through other media, and it has become as if we are encountering drugs at the club every week.”

In addition, regarding the report that Yoo Ah-in overdosed on zolpidem, he said, "We are seriously concerned about the fact that claims that have not even been confirmed are spreading as if they are confirmed facts," and "It is a serious level of fake news that is unrelated to the police investigation and cannot be confirmed." He raised his voice, saying, “We will take active action, including legal action, against indiscriminate ‘Kadera’ style reporting.”

The agency said, "It is true that Yoo Ah-in has been taking sleeping pills for a long time due to sleep disorder. In the past, he took sleeping pills containing this ingredient," but added, "However, for the past six months, he has replaced sleeping pills with other ingredients, and has been using sleeping pills for other purposes. "It has never been used for this purpose. “The authenticity of this will be revealed through the police investigation,” he refuted.

Yoo Ah-in's side said that there were other parts that were different from the facts, but did not say anything. The agency also drew attention by saying, "There are parts where clearer facts need to be conveyed regarding other charges against Yoo Ah-in, but in the current situation where the police investigation continues, we believe this is disrespectful to the investigative agency."

Yoo Ah-in is under police investigation on suspicion of using drugs such as propofol, marijuana, cocaine, and ketamine. He was investigated for 12 hours on the 27th of last month, and is awaiting a second summons investigation.
