Actor Park Hae-il donated 50 million won to help neighbors affected by forest fires in Gangneung and other areas.
On the 19th, the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association announced, "Actor Park Hae-il has donated 50 million won to help neighbors affected by forest fires in Gangneung and other areas."
Park Hae-il said through Hope Bridge, "I would like to convey words of consolation to those who have been affected by the sudden forest fire. I made a donation in the hope that it will be of some help so that they can return to their daily lives as soon as possible."
According to Hope Bridge officials, Park Hae-il donated to Hope Bridge right after the Gangneung forest fire, but was cautious about making the donation known to the public. He responded to Hope Bridge's report request in the hope that more people would take interest and participate.
Hope Bridge Secretary General Kim Jeong-hee said, "We are grateful to Park Hae-il for participating in donations during each disaster, including the Gangwon forest fire in 2019, COVID-19 in 2020, and this forest fire. Hope Bridge is doing its best to help victims who are still experiencing inconveniences in shelters recover their daily lives. “I will do my best,” he said.
Through this donation, Hae-il Park was appointed as a member of the Hope Bridge Honors Club, a private large donation club.
