Comedian Seo Se-won's funeral is expected to be held in Cambodia.
According to Ten Asia's coverage on the 20th, the funeral of Seo Se-won, who died suddenly today, is scheduled to be held in Cambodian style. It has not yet been confirmed whether the funeral will be held in Korea.
A Korean resident staying in Cambodia said, "It looks like a funeral will be held in a tent in Phnom Penh's neighborhood where Seo Se-won lives. We will bring the coffin to the house and invite Koreans who were close to us for the funeral."
The temporary mortuary for the deceased, who is currently frozen, has been set up at a temple near Buyeong Town in Phnom Penh. It has been reported that condolences from acquaintances who were close to the deceased in Cambodia continue to come. The deceased's family is preparing funeral arrangements.
Seo Se-won suffered cardiac arrest while receiving an IV at Mirae Polyclinic around 11:30 a.m. on the 20th.
Afterwards, first aid was attempted with medical staff from nearby Sunrise Japan General Hospital, but it was reported that he was declared dead by local medical staff at 3 PM (Korean time).
The Korean Embassy in Cambodia is investigating the circumstances surrounding Seo's death.
