Han Ga-in "A new start after my wife dies? I don't feel good."

Han Ga-in was overly immersed in the myth, saying, “It’s similar to the ‘Three Sisters’ who only do their jobs.”

In episode 3 of the MBN entertainment show 'The Private Lives of the Gods - Greek and Roman Mythology 2' (hereinafter referred to as 'The Private Lives of the Gods 2'), which aired on the 20th, Han Ga-in, Seol Min-seok, Kim Heon and Lee Chang-yong were guests with Song Kyung-ah under the theme of 'Dionysus, the beginning of alcohol.' We continued an exciting discussion about mythology.

On this day, 'Empathy Goddess' and MC Han Ga-in introduced top model Song Kyung-ah, saying, "Someone like a goddess from mythology has arrived." Song Kyung-ah said, “I was so interested in Greek and Roman mythology that I actually went to Athens,” and appealed to being a ‘myth fanatic.’ Professor Kim Heon then announced that the theme of the day was 'Dionysus' by directly singing "Drink it all the way," a line from BTS's 'Dionysus.' ‘Storyteller’ Seol Min-seok began the story of Dionysus by saying, “If you drink alcohol knowing how it was first made, wouldn’t it be 100 times more fantastic?”

Dionysus was an unprecedented 'mutant' conceived between Zeus and a priestess who worshiped him. He lost his mother while he was still in the womb due to the tricks of Hera, the 'goddess of the home', who was angry at Zeus's infidelity. Zeus quickly took the child out of his stomach and placed it on his thigh. A ‘variant’ was born that allowed humans to hold 6 months and gods held 3 months. However, even after Dionysus was born, Hera's jealousy did not stop, and eventually Zeus sent Dionysus deep into the mountains.

Dionysus, who grew up brightly thanks to the teacher he met in the mountains, now has a close boyfriend. However, while the friend went hunting, he was trampled by a bull and died. A vine grew where he was buried, and Dionysus made wine from the grapes and was greatly loved by the people of the world. Eventually, I met the person I loved and got married.

It seemed like they would be happy forever, but before he knew it, his old wife passed away. Contrary to his wife's will to find new love, Dionysus never married again in the human world. At this point, Seol Min-seok asked, “If your wife passes away, will you make a new start?” Docent Lee Chang-yong said, “I told my wife that I would start over the next day. “If you don’t like it, I told you to live a long, healthy life,” he answered confidently. In response, Han Ga-in and Song Kyung-ah responded by overly immersing themselves in the wife's position by saying, "You don't feel so good?", causing a burst of laughter.

As popularity increased, the 'Dionysus Festival' was created, and a Dionysus festival was held in one country. However, the 'Three Sisters Princesses' of that country confined the maids who wanted to go to the festival to do only work. After hearing this, Dionysus appeared before the princesses and asked them to enjoy the festival together, saying, “Work is just a means to live a happy life.” However, the three princesses fiercely criticized the wine that Dionysus made, and Dionysus, who was enraged by this, said, “I will make you work even at night,” and turned them into bats.

Although he is an object of fear to anti-believers, Dionysus was loved by many followers and became the first of the gods recognized by humans, rising to the position of one of the 12 gods of Olympus. Han Ga-in, who heard this story, said, “I think I was one of the three sisters who only worked. “When people said they wanted to play, they would say, ‘No, work!’” and devastated the studio.

Professor Kim Heon said, “Those in power held the Dionysus Festival on a large scale to capture the hearts of the public. Among them, the tragedy contest was the most popular. Here, the word ‘theatron’, which means audience seats, is derived from ‘theater’. “In other words, Dionysus is an advocate of performing arts,” he added, making everyone nod their heads.

Docent Lee Chang-yong explained the famous paintings and their meanings on the theme of Dionysus in an interesting way, and Seol Min-seok added, “If each of us takes advantage of our talents and take one step at a time, we too can achieve our dreams like Dionysus.” Lastly, Seol Min-seok said, “If the characters have been the focus so far, from the next episode, space will be the focus,” and predicted the story about ‘Athens,’ the flower of ancient Greek civilization.

'The Private Lives of the Gods - Greek and Roman Mythology 2' is broadcast every Thursday at 10:20 PM.
