High school mom Lee Da-gyo faces divorce due to mention of a bottle of alcohol

Lee Da-gyo, a high school mother, had a conflict with her husband Jung Hyun-seok due to her drinking problem, but overcame the risk of divorce by declaring abstinence from drinking.

In the 15th episode of MBN's 'Adults Don't Know High School Dad 3 (hereinafter referred to as High School Dad 3)' broadcast on the 26th, Lee Da-gyo and her husband Jung Hyun-seok, who became a high school mom at the age of 19 and are currently raising their 6-month-old son Shinwoo, appeared together.
On this day, the couple Lee Da-kyo and Jung Hyun-seok had a serious conflict from the moment they appeared in the studio, including bringing out divorce papers. However, they resolved to solve each of their fatal weaknesses, such as drinking and swearing.

The story of Lee Da-kyo becoming a high school mother was told in a reenactment drama. Lee Da-gyo suffered from depression since childhood due to his alcoholic father. Before I could even leave school, I was locked in a chat room and suffered social media bullying. Lee Da-gyo had a hard time even after his parents divorced, and after becoming an adult, he showed dependence on alcohol. Then, while I was at a bar with a friend, I gave my contact information to a man, and we naturally became lovers.

After receiving permission from Lee Da-gyo's mother to date, they started living together at Lee Da-gyo's mother's house two months after meeting. Afterwards, she found out she was pregnant, but was shocked when the doctor in charge recommended that the baby be deleted, saying he suspected fetal hydrops. After visiting several hospitals and hearing that there was no problem, they promised to keep the child and had difficulty obtaining permission from both parents to give birth. However, even during her pregnancy, Lee Da-gyo still could not shake off the thoughts of alcohol and ended up shedding tears.

Lee Da-kyo and Jung Hyun-seok appeared in the studio and revealed their daily lives. They were living with their 6-month-old son Shin-woo, and a conflict arose in the morning when Jeong Hyun-seok found fault with the breakfast table prepared by Lee Da-gyo. Moreover, Jung Hyun-seok, who went to work at the auto repair shop, frequently called Lee Da-gyo to check on her activities, and excessively controlled Lee Da-kyo, who was raising her child alone, when she went out, raising questions. Unlike the cast members who took Lee Da-gyo's side, saying, "Everyday life seems frustrating," Jung Hyun-seok maintained a strong stance, saying, "I don't know what my wife will do if she goes out."

After returning home, Jeong Hyun-seok focused on playing games on his phone rather than listening to Lee Da-gyo's story. Jeong Hyun-seok belatedly suggested reconciliation to Lee Da-gyo, who was offended, but there was no way that Lee Da-gyo's mood would be relieved by the conversation that was almost a one-way street. But at that moment, Lee Da-gyo suddenly mentioned “a bottle of alcohol” as a condition for reconciliation. In the end, at a drinking party that started with just one bottle of alcohol after putting Shinwoo to bed, Lee Da-gyo gulped down the drink and shouted, “One more bottle.” Jeong Hyun-seok, who showed discomfort due to Lee Da-gyo's series of drunken accidents, ended up expressing his anger with profanity and abusive language.

Jung Hyun-seok, who fell asleep first after the disastrous drinking party, was awakened at dawn by Shin-woo's crying. However, Lee Da-gyo had left home while drunk. Jung Hyun-seok was wandering the streets with Shin-woo in his arms, and found Lee Da-gyo drinking beer alone and talking on the phone with a friend, and brought him home. After returning home, the couple resumed fighting, and eventually they said, "Let's divorce." Attorney Lee In-cheol, who was watching the couple unable to communicate at all, said bitterly, "Unless things get better, it would be better to file for divorce. They are both perpetrators to each other."

Recognizing the seriousness of the situation, the production team provided psychiatric counseling for the couple. As a result of Lee Da-gyo's examination, it was determined that he had the highest level of depression and alcohol dependence, and that he needed treatment. To Lee Da-kyo, who said, "I hated my alcoholic father so much, but I ended up taking after him," the specialist emphasized, "Alcohol problems are highly hereditary. If you don't control them, they will be passed down to Shin-woo." In addition, the specialist gave harsh advice to Jung Hyun-seok, who abuses profanity and harsh language, saying, "If you don't control yourself, CNU will swear at you in the same way."

After hearing the test results, the couple faced each other and were filled with regret, recalling the time when Lee Da-gyo was pregnant and when Shin-woo did not give up on the child even when he was diagnosed with fetal hydrops. Immediately after, Lee Da-gyo declared abstinence from alcohol, saying, “If I can change my mind in the future, I will not talk about alcohol or drink it.” Jung Hyun-seok, who could not hide his smile at his wife's shocking remarks, also promised, "I will refrain from swearing," and pledged, "I will live hard from now on."
