Group BTOB returned to fans after 1 year and 3 months with a song composed by the members themselves.
BTOB held a press conference commemorating the release of their 12th mini album 'WIND AND WISH' at the Stanford Hotel in Mapo-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of the 2nd.
On this day, Seo Eunkwang said about his thoughts on the comeback, "I couldn't sleep because I was so excited. I'm really looking forward to it. The fans seemed to like it after seeing the advance content."
Lim Hyun-sik, who participated in the album work, said, "I feel pressure with every album, but I approached it with the idea of not putting pressure on myself as much as possible." He went on to explain, "I finished writing the song 'Missing You' in two days. This time, 'My Wind' also took about two days."
He also said, "I felt good. I felt personally satisfied and confident." He said, “I became more confident when I heard the members’ voices while recording.”
In particular, about the fan song 'Day&Night', he said, "It expressed BTOB's love for the fans. I expressed it as 'Special thanks to MELODY', and the song contained the fans' shouts. I was thinking of using the word featuring, but I expressed it that way." .
He also shared the ‘desire’ he wanted to achieve through this album. Minhyuk Lee said, “I hope it becomes music that gives strength to people.” Yook Sungjae added, “I hope that BTOB will become an artist and fandom that can sing and enjoy together for a long time without cheating on the melody.”
Lastly, Yook Sungjae said, “I want to become the leader in K-pop ballads,” and “I hope that many people overseas will listen to the new genre called ‘K-pop dance ballad.’”
BTOB's 12th mini album 'WIND AND WISH' will be released on domestic and international music sites at 6 PM on this day. This comeback comes about 1 year and 3 months after the promotions for ‘The Song’.
The title song 'Wind And Wish' has the ambiguous meaning of wishing good luck and happiness for your loved one through the wind blowing. Member Hyunsik Lim wrote, composed, and arranged the lyrics, and Minhyuk Lee and Peniel also participated in writing the lyrics.
