BTS Suga's solo album 'D-DAY' enters 2nd place on the US 'Billboard 200'


Suga of the group BTS achieved his personal best performance on the US Billboard chart with his new album.

According to the latest chart (as of May 6) released by Billboard, an American music media outlet, on the 2nd (local time), the title song 'D-DAY' of the solo album 'D-DAY' released by Suga on the 21st of last month under the stage name Agust D was lifted. 'It entered the main single chart 'Hot 100' at number 58.

Additionally, as 'D-DAY' entered the main album chart 'Billboard 200' at number 2, Suga became a solo artist for the fourth time on the 'Hot 100' and the second time on the 'Billboard 200'. In particular, Suga ranked 11th on the 'Billboard 200' with the mixtape 'D-2' (released in 2020). With this result, he broke his personal highest ranking on the Billboard main album chart and became the highest K-pop solo singer. It ranked first (tying the record with Jimin's first solo album 'FACE').

According to Billboard, 'D-DAY' sold 140,000 copies, and physical album sales amounted to 122,000 copies, making it the best-selling album during the chart period. The streaming conversion figure was 12,500, and the download conversion figure was 5,500.

Based on these sales results, 'D-DAY' also ranked first in 'Top Album Sales', 'Top Current Album', 'Top Rap Album', and 'World Album'.

The title song 'Haegeum' swept the top of 'Digital Song Sales', 'Rap Digital Song Sales', and 'World Digital Song Sales', ranked 12th in 'Global (excluding the US)', 15th in 'Global 200', and ranked 15th in 'Global 200'. Other songs from 'D-DAY' also ranked high on various charts.

Jimin is also consistently performing well on the Billboard main chart. The title song 'Like Crazy' of the first solo album 'FACE' ranked 97th on the 'Hot 100', and the solo album 'FACE' ranked 70th on the 'Billboard 200', charting for 5 consecutive weeks.

In addition, 'Like Crazy' was ranked 2nd in 'World Digital Song Sales', 7th in 'Digital Song Sales', 20th in 'Global (excluding the US)', and 26th in 'Global 200', and 'FACE' was ranked 2nd in 'World Album'. ' It is steadily gaining popularity, showing even distribution, including 2nd place in 'Top Current Albums', 17th place in 'Top Current Albums', and 19th place in 'Top Album Sales'.
