Handa-gam and Im Seong-han cast in ‘Assassin Durian’

Actress Handa Gam was cast as the second daughter-in-law of a chaebol family in the new drama 'Assassin Durian'.

On the 15th, her agency BB Entertainment announced that Handa-gam will appear in TV CHOSUN's new weekend mini-series 'Assassin Durian' (written by Phoebe (Lim Seong-han)/directed by Shin Woo-cheol and Jeong Yeo-jin/produced by Barunson Studio, High Ground).

'Miss Durian' is a fantasy melodrama that tells the story of two unidentified women who appear at a grand party held at the Dan family's villa just in time for a lunar eclipse, and the strange, beautiful, and timeless fate of the Dan family.

In the play, Han Da-gam plays the role of Lee Eun-seong, the wife of Dan Chi-gam (Kim Min-jun) and the second daughter-in-law of Baek Do-i (Choi Myung-gil). Although she has a sensitive and difficult personality, she is a character with culture and elegance ingrained in her bones. She is expected to draw attention to the drama by portraying the luxurious appearance of the daughter-in-law of a chaebol in a three-dimensional way.

Handa-gam showed a new charm to the public by delicately expressing the character of a working mother with a strong vitality in KBS' 'National Wife' last year. Expectations are rising for the unconventional character portrayal she will show through this work, as she has shown a steady presence by challenging various works and characters.

Meanwhile, actors Park Joo-mi, Choi Myung-gil, Kim Min-jun, Jeon No-min, and Yoon Hae-young also appear in 'Assassin Durian', in which Han Da-gam appears. Scheduled to first air on TV CHOSUN in June.
