MIJOO from Lovelyz is back as a ‘movie star’.
Mijoo held a showcase commemorating the release of her first single album 'Movie Star' at 2pm on the 17th. This album is the first solo album released in 9 years since Lovelyz's debut in 2014.
On this day, Mijoo explained, "It's a moment I'm more nervous than when I first debuted. This album contains two songs, a dance song and a ballad."
He continued, "From the moment I heard the first two songs, I thought, 'This is really good.' This is an album that reflected a lot of my opinions from the first album. 'What do I want to show?' “I thought a lot about ‘what do I want to do?’” he said.
He also said, "The lyrics caught my ear. I think it's my story. When I was young, I watched stars on TV and thought a lot like, 'Can I do that too?' It became the background that helped me express this album better."
The title song 'Movie Star' of the same name as the album is an impressive dance song with an addictive house-based disco rhythm and a catchy top line. While the rich musical elements create synergy with Miju's bright energy, Miju will provide a variety of attractions with witty point choreography that intuitively expresses the lyrics.
The music video released along with the sound source depicts Mijoo becoming a 'movie star' in a movie-like production. Antenna artist Lee Hyo-ri and actress Lee Yi-kyung make special appearances in the music video, adding to expectations.
Additionally, the album includes the ballad song 'I Miss You', which honestly expresses the feeling of missing a former lover.
Meanwhile, America's 'Movie Star' will be released on various music sites at 6 PM on this day.
