On the 19th, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's drug crime investigation team decided to apply for an arrest warrant for Yoo Ah-in on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act. The police judged that Yoo Ah-in was denying the charges and that there was a risk of destroying evidence. The police also apply for an arrest warrant for Yoo Ah-in's closest aide, Mr. Choi. Mr. Choi was a reference at the beginning of the investigation, but his identity was changed to a suspect when it was confirmed that he assisted or administered drugs to Yoo Ah-in. The police believe that Choi took drugs with Yoo Ah-in or prescribed Zolpidem for Yoo Ah-in.
On the 16th at 9 am, Yoo Ah-in attended the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Drug Investigation Unit in Mapo-gu, Seoul and received a second investigation. Afterwards, after 21 hours of intense investigation, he returned home at 6:30 am on the 17th, the next day. Yoo Ah-in said, "I said what I could. I'm sorry for causing concern." Yoo Ah-in was asked questions about cocaine use, how he purchased drugs, and why he changed his attendance date, but he did not answer.
Previously, during the summons and investigation process, Yoo Ah-in constantly insisted on the "rules on public information, such as police investigation cases," and fought an unprecedented fight with the police, such as refusing to be investigated unless it was closed, and was hit by public opinion. In particular, in the second summons investigation, which was scheduled to be held on the 11th, the investigation date was disclosed, refusing the investigation and making a U-turn. The first summons investigation was also requested to be postponed once.
Yoo Ah-in has formed a super-luxurious defense team with former lawyers. Among the lawyers, Park Seong-jin, Cha Sang-woo, and Ahn Hyo-jung are all former officers. Attention is focusing on what kind of court ruling Yoo Ah-in, who has put forward the so-called 'war shield', will receive at the crossroads of desperation.
The police believe that Yoo Ah-in took a total of 5 types of drugs. In February, the police received from the National Institute of Scientific Investigation the results of the analysis that four types of narcotic components, including hemp, propofol, cocaine, and ketamine, were detected in Yoo Ah-in's hair and urine. We have been investigating and capturing the circumstances of prescriptions for non-medical purposes.
