'Scion' Kim Seon-ho "Kang Tae-joo makes me look back"

Rookie Kang Tae-joo breaks through the competition rate of 1980 to 1 and debuts on the screen through the movie 'The Scion' (director Park Hoon-jung).

On the 22nd, the distributor NEW released a still of Kang Tae-joo, who makes his screen debut as Marco in 'The Scion'. 'The Scion' is a story in which forces with different goals, including a mysterious male scion (played by Kim Seon-ho), appear in front of boxer Marco (played by Tae-joo Kang), who wanders around an illegal stadium in the Philippines, and pursues madness.

Kang Tae-joo plays Marco, who is targeted by different forces without knowing the English language in the play. He broke through a high competition rate of 1980 to 1 and was selected by coach Park Hoon-jung. For the role of a boxer who came to Korea from the Philippines, Kang Tae-joo practiced endlessly until he spoke English like his mother tongue. He did most of the action acting in the movie himself.

Kang Tae-joo said, "It was such an honor. I felt a great sense of responsibility because I was an important person in leading the movie, and I did my best because I wanted to do it somehow." He added, "I always acted while recalling the lines of what Marco was thinking in my mind so that the feelings of Marco, who has a taciturn personality, could be conveyed to the audience."

Kim Seon-ho, who worked with Kang Tae-joo, praised him, saying, "I was very surprised. From body care to acting, I was perfectly prepared as Marco. A very wonderful actor who makes me look back."

'The Scion' will be released on June 21st.
