Interview with Lee Joon-hyeok as Joo Seong-cheol in the movie 'Crime City 3'
Actor Lee Joon-hyeok mentioned Ma Dong-seok, whom he worked with in the movie 'Crime City 3'.
On the morning of the 30th, at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, Lee Jun-hyeok told various stories about the upcoming movie 'Crime City 3' (director Lee Sang-yong).
'Criminal City 3' is a monster detective Ma Seok-do (Ma Dong-seok) moves to Gwangsu University in Seoul to catch Joo Seong-cheol (Lee Jun-hyeok), who is behind a new drug crime case, and Ricky (Aoki Munetaka), another villain involved in a drug case. It depicts an exhilarating crime-fighting operation for the sake of others.
In the play, Lee Joon-hyeok plays Joo Seong-cheol, a third-generation Korean villain wrapped in a veil. There is no known information about Joo Seong-cheol except that he is behind the new drug case. He is a person who moves one step ahead of the Seoul Metropolitan Investigation Unit and causes confusion in the investigation.
On this day, Lee Joon-hyeok said about the casting of 'Sin City 3', "It's always like that. After finishing the work (work), I think everyone will be like this, 'Is it okay or am I doing well?' It felt like destiny to call senior Ma Dong-seok. Isn't it necessary to always say, 'I'm having a hard time'?"
He said, “After a project is over, there is always a feeling of breaking up with a close friend. Isn’t it like starting a new job after that? That's what I want to do in the future. Isn't that the case when I watch 'Marketing Genius Baek Jong-won?' I have memories of having a heart. There is such a narrative."
Lee Joon-hyeok appeared in the movie 'Along with the Gods' series with Ma Dong-seok. He said, "It's not like God was caught. We talked privately, but we didn't keep in touch. It came to me in a big way. He's the best senior I've ever met. The most important thing to learn is to love movies. For example, Even after filming, they had a movie meeting all night. Rather than asking, 'Why are you working so hard?', I also want to talk a lot about movies and meet people like that."
He also said, "Anyway, as a senior, I become an example. There are actors who fill in the space when there is space on set. Sometimes I fill it up, but Ma Dong-seok is huge. He filled it well. I feel comfortable. It feels like a hard cushion." . Previously, Ma Dong-seok said of Lee Jun-hyeok, "I wanted to change Jun-hyeok to such an extent that people would see Jun-hyeok's face and ask, 'Is that person Lee Jun-hyuk?'" Lee Jun-hyeok expressed his gratitude, saying, "I am really grateful for the fact that I am trying to flexibly discover a different image of an actor."
Lee Jun-hyeok said, "A role with good brains has a lot of lines. The know-how of 'Secret Forest' was senior Cho Seung-woo. It's good (stimulation) because he doesn't make mistakes on set. 'Criminal City 3' was open. Some things change depending on the situation. "I did. That's why it's like a living organism. On the set of 'Criminal City 3', there is something like Ma Dong-seok playing the role of senior Jo Seung-woo. We learn and absorb senior Ma Dong-seok well, while being influenced by him, and we're doing it together. We're following along well."
'Crime City 3' starring Lee Jun-hyuk will be released on the 31st.
