In the 9th episode of KBS 2TV's Monday & Tuesday drama, 'How I Ran into You', which aired on the 29th, Hae-jun Yoon (Dong-wook Kim) and Yoon-yeong (Jin Ki-joo) tried to prove the innocence of Hee-seop Baek (Won-jeong Lee), who was arrested as a suspect in the 'Serial Murder Case in Woojeong-ri'. minutes) struggles were drawn.
Hee-seop confessed that he had done everything, but suddenly he acted suspiciously, as if hearing hallucinations. Turns out, he denied the murder. Dong-shik had no choice but to arrest his nephew while swallowing tears, but he wondered why Hee-seop's sudden change of attitude might be.
Lee Hyeong-man (Park Soo-young), the father of the second victim, Lee Kyung-ae (Hong Na-hyun), heard that Hee-seop was arrested and ran for a long way, and Kyeong-ae's younger brother Lee Soon-ae (Seo Ji-hye) appeared and proved his alibi. On the night Kyo˘ng-ae secretly left the house and was murdered, Hee-seop and Sun-ae stayed up all night on the rooftop. However, Sun-ae's parents, remembering that Kyeong-ae, who lived a carefree life, had risen up and down the streets of the village, blocked her statement, fearing that even their youngest daughter would be caught up in bad rumors.
However, Yoon-yeong, wondering why Hee-seop, who had a clear alibi, admitted to the crime, came to the conclusion that her uncle Baek Yoo-seop (played by Hong Seung-an) was the cause. Yoon-young recalled her mother and Hee-seop, who was only by her uncle's side even when she needed a father. In the end, disillusioned with his father, Yoon-yeong decides to turn a blind eye to Hee-seop, who is wrongfully arrested, and feels sorry for him.
Soon-ae, helpless, recalled the night they spent on the rooftop with Hee-seop, their shy kisses, and the stories they told each other. The fresh appearance of the two people with deep emotions caused viewers to flutter. Soon-ae, who fell in love with Hee-seop, sneaked out of the house to take his side, but Yoon-young, who was waiting for her, stopped her. Even knowing the whole truth, Yun-Young's behavior of having no choice but to make such a choice for her mother broke the hearts of the viewers.
Meanwhile, Hae-jun knew in advance that the shirt, which would be the decisive evidence, would be damaged and prevented it, and he himself went to Seoul and searched for Yu-seop. Then, he noticed that all the people who wanted to ask about Yu-seop's whereabouts gave suspicious responses. Later, a shirt blood test proved Hee-seop's innocence, but mysterious detectives from Seoul came and took him somewhere. When his uncle's whereabouts were unknown, Yun-young went to the attic where he used to hide and found Yu-seop hiding there.
At the end of episode 9, an unexpected truth was revealed. The two brothers lost their eldest brother and their families to the military in Gwangju in 1980, seven years ago, and were deeply dependent on each other. Hee-seop wanted to protect his older brother, who was running away from the police, but was afraid that he himself would be tortured. At this time, Yu-seop, who cared for his brother dearly, appeared on his own, and Hee-seop was able to be freed.
The ninth episode recorded a rating of 4.6% (provided by Nielsen Korea, based on nationwide households), ranking first in Monday-Tuesday drama ratings.
