Actress Suzy takes the lead in promoting Hanbok as a representative of Korea.
Suzy contributes to the 'Collaborative Content Planning and Development in the Hanbok Field Hallyu' project promoted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister Park Bo-gyun, hereinafter Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) with the Korea Craft & Design Foundation (hereinafter Gongjinwon). This project is to promote the charm of hanbok to the international community and support the overseas expansion of the hanbok industry through collaboration between creative hanbok designers and Korean cultural artists. Suzy participates in promoting the beauty of hanbok to the world by capturing the beauty of the hanbok she developed in a pictorial video and sending it to the Times Square billboard in New York, USA.
Since her debut in 2010, Suzy has been loved by the public through various activities such as acting, singing, and entertainment. In addition, various donation activities are spreading good influence at home and abroad. In the movie 'Dorihwa', he played a pansori singer wearing a hanbok. The hanbok pictorial that was released at the time boasts a graceful and elegant figure that is still considered 'the standard of hanbok pictorial'. Accordingly, it is expected that Suzy will be able to widely publicize the charm of hanbok this time as well.
An official from Gongjinwon said, “The purpose of this project is to develop hanbok that can promote the charm of hanbok not only in Korea but also in overseas markets, from popular hanbok that can be worn at any time in everyday life to hanbok with modern reinterpretation while maintaining the unique characteristics of hanbok. “I hope to be able to publicize the various aspects of hanbok like Suzy, who is active in many fields,” he said.
