From the first episode, TV CHOSUN's weekend mini-series 'Missy Durian', which featured the late husband's homosexuality, fell in ratings.
Episode 2 of 'Assi Durian', which aired on the 25th, recorded a nationwide rating of 3.4% and the highest rating in Bundang, 3.9%, according to Nielsen Korea. This is a decrease from the 4.2% of the first episode and the lowest rating among dramas broadcast on Sundays.
In the second episode of 'Missis Durian', the story of Durian's (Park Joo-mi) turbulent fate and the current second son of the Dan family, Dan Chi-gam (Kim Min-jun), who looks exactly like him, was revealed. In the play, Durian came to his senses in Eunseong Lee's (played by Gam Han Han) house, and was afraid of the surrounding environment he was seeing for the first time, not knowing whether it was the afterlife or a dream. Durian, who carefully went out of the room, witnessed the sense of dangchi while drinking coffee, and with trembling lips spat out “stone” and passed out again.
Then, the affectionate relationship with Dolsoe, who shared a love affair with Durian, unfolded. Durian gave a pair of men's socks to Dol-soe, who spent the night with him, and Dolsoe said, "I haven't done anything to Agi-ssi," and cherished the socks Durian gave him to his chest, unable to take his eyes off them. However, while Durian and Dolsoe looked at each other and shared their heartfelt feelings, the mother-in-law Kim's wife (Choi Myung-gil) threw a cold word, saying, "The first chicken cried," and blocked the two's feelings from outside.
Afterwards, Durian was astonished when he saw Dolsoe's dead face with his breath cut off. However, while trying to hide her sadness, she took out a tabi from her bosom and put it on one of her bare feet. I deserve it,” he said to himself, adding to his sorrow.
And after a long time, on the day Eon (played by Yoo Jeong-hoo) was getting married, Durian took out the pair of socks he hadn't been able to put on for the dead Dolsoe, and said, "Eon got married. He grew up well as a decent leader. It's nice, but will you live well after being born? It implied that Eon was Dolsoe's son, creating regret.
Dolsoe's longing for Durian was also revealed. In response to Sojeo's question about Eon's father, Durian said, "There was nothing I couldn't do. It is a personality that would have given up its life for me,” he recalled. Then, after carrying a doctor who couldn't walk due to a leg injury on a lift for Durian, who was in a hurry, he came running, and while bleeding on his shoulder, he asked "What about Mr. Baby?" lost.
Daughter-in-law Kim So-jeo (played by Lee Da-yeon), who married Durian's son Eon, spent a happy time with Eon from the day of the wedding ceremony at the Choryecheong while wearing rouge konji and wearing a headband to the heartfelt conversation on the first night. In particular, Eon said to Sojeo Kim, “Let’s live as friends for 100 years. It's a relationship where we depend on each other, trust each other, and become each other's strength. It is an equal relationship. The couple said, “Let’s grow old with good looks,” and captured Sojeo Kim at once by revealing the upright and benevolent sides of Giabi.
In addition, Eon made Kim So-jeo dress up in doryeong clothes, rode a horse and gave a sweet kiss, and in the middle of the night brought dried persimmons and walnuts to soothe Kim So-jeo's hunger.
Kim So-je, who went to the room after hearing that Eon didn't wake up, ran frantically towards Durian in shock when Eon's hand, which lay as if asleep, was cold and did not even move. Next, Kim So-jeo said, "It's Seobang-nim," and shed tears, and as a result, durian froze to death, and the 'blue sky thunderbolt shock ending' unfolded, raising anxiety.
Episode 3 of 'Assisi Durian' will be broadcast on July 1 at 9:10 pm.
