Ju-ran, who realized that there was no reason for Jae-ho to be threatened or to kill Yoon-beom (Choi Jae-rim), poured out her resentment toward Sang-eun for making her suspicious of her husband. Sang-eun was also in a situation where he was nervous because he did not get any of the results he wanted. Sang-eun raised her voice when her emotions were intensified toward Ju-ran, who was driving her. And Sang-eun said, "Why do you not trust your husband so much? Are you not trusting yourself?" Joo-ran, in a fit of heat, slapped Sang-eun on the cheek and eventually turned their backs on each other. Joo-ran felt guilty for doubting Jae-ho and went back to her previous life. Eventually, when her mother (Cha Mi-kyung), who suffered from dementia, got worse and was admitted to a nursing hospital, she volunteered to take care of her mother in order to control her empty mind.
Then one day, countless secrets that were hidden in an instant burst out like a flood. Joo-ran found Su-min's mobile phone case ornaments in her apron while cleaning the house in the past, and frantically dug up the soil, thinking that the hand of the body she had previously witnessed in the backyard might be Su-min's. And Jae-ho cried out when he heard that the stench he smelled was not because of the rotten latex gloves, but because of Su-min's body. But it didn't end here. Seung-jae, who saw the news that Su-min's body was found in the reservoir, appeared in front of Ju-ran and Jae-ho and made a shocking confession, saying, "I killed it." As a result, attention is paid to what choice Joo-ran will make in the future, facing the shocking reality that her son and husband were involved in a terrible murder and abandonment of the body.
Sang-eun also realizes that her mother is aware of her crime, and is in a situation where she has no place to back down.
