Band group CNBLUE member and actor Kang Min-hyuk mentioned the character he played in the Netflix series 'Celebrity'.
Kang Min-hyuk met with Ten Asia at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul on the morning of the 5th and told various stories about the Netflix series 'Celebrity', which was released on the 30th of last month.
'Celebrity' is a story depicting the glamorous yet intense bare faces of celebrities faced by Ari (played by Park Kyu-young), who jumped into the world where becoming famous makes money. The story of SNS, which is very close to our daily life, and the influencers who reign there as emerging aristocrats are excitingly unraveled.
According to FlixPatrol, an online video streaming service ranking aggregation site, 'Celebrity' ranked third in the TV show category. 1 in Vietnam, and top 10 in 35 countries, including Venezuela, UAE, Turkey, Taiwan, Thailand, Switzerland, Sri Lanka, Korea, South Africa, Singapore, Serbia, Saudi Arabia, Peru, and Portugal.
Kang Min-hyuk said, "I've seen all the episodes, but I've only seen it once. I enjoyed watching the drama rather than watching the acting. It wasn't because I was out there, but I enjoyed watching the drama from beginning to end." He added, "I was watching episode 1 lying down, but at some point I was so immersed that I sat down and hugged a cushion."
Kang Min-hyuk said, "There are a lot of celebrities and stories on social media that come into our daily lives, and I think I was more attracted to seeing things I was curious about in the video as a social media user. Director, it was a series that the production team tried to show a lot of things through post-production."
In the play, Kang Min-hyeok played Joon-kyung. Jun-kyung, a 3rd-generation conglomerate, becomes curious about Ari, who does not give up on him, and opens an SNS account that he had no interest in.
Kang Min-hyeok, who has played the character of a prince on a white horse, emphasized, "I am not a prince." He said, “This character had a little more conversation with the writer. It was to the point of talking on the phone a lot. The writer put a lot of things he felt in me while talking to me on the phone. I think he gave me a lot of compliments."
Also, “He said, ‘I don’t feel malicious when Minhyuk talks about it’, ‘I have the ability to digest it roundly’, and ‘I can do it enough’. During the script reading, he gave me a lot of direction. I wonder if the 3rd generation conglomerate that the artist and the writer drew came together well.”
Kang Min-hyeok said, "I was ignoring Han Joon-kyung's Gods at some point, so I focused on those things because I thought that people with high self-esteem could not care about others. It doesn't matter if there is controversy or if it's cheesy. I think I made Han Joon-kyung with this mindset."
There is a line from Kang Min-hyuk that became a hot topic after the release of 'Celebrity'. That is 'Princess Maker'. Regarding this, Kang Min-hyuk said, "At first, I thought about how to do this. I talked a lot with the writer and director. The writer also said, 'Mr. When you look at it, it seems like it has nothing to do with what he says, and he has no soul. I think it's something he can say enough. I thought it was just a general word like eating rice. So it seems that it came out without cringing."
