Koyote Kim Jong-min, Shinji, and Baekga proved their "secret of longevity" by showing off their 'one-of-a-kind' presence armed with honesty on their first full backpacking trip to mark the 25th anniversary of their debut.
In the 17th episode of JTBC's entertainment show 'Mungdun Returns - Koyote's 25th Anniversary Trip' (hereinafter referred to as 'Mungdun Returns'), which aired on the 4th, Koyote Kim Jong-min, Shinji, and Baekga challenged their first complete group trip to commemorate the 25th anniversary of their debut, backpacking in Thailand. was pictured going out.
Debuting in 1998 and celebrating their 25th anniversary this year, Koyote Kim Jong-min, Shinji, and Baekga challenged their first full-group trip in search of 'Mungtteun Returns'. Koyote members held a meeting before leaving for a trip and made travel plans. The destination was set to Thailand, and Baekga, who had extensive experience in backpacking abroad, was naturally chosen as the guide and leader for this trip.
Regarding the reason why the three of them never traveled together, Shinji said, "The three of us don't get along. I don't go on a trip because I'm afraid the good relationship will grow apart." At the same time, when asked what he would do if he didn't like Baekga's plan, he said, "If you don't like it, we'll have to fight," giving Baekga a sense of fear. Then, Kim Jong-min and Shinji poured out realistically impossible requests to Baek-ga, the 'Backguide', embarrassing Baek-ga.
With Baekga's hardships expected, the three boarded a plane to Chiang Mai, Thailand, and started backpacking. For those who arrived in Thailand, something more frightening than Shinji's scolding awaited them. It is bad weather accompanied by thunder and lightning. Kim Jong-min, who was genuinely surprised by the unusual tropical squall (heavy guerrilla rain), said, "I thought, 'I'm going like this'" and swept his chest. At the same time, he said, “I had a wish to go home like this,” and brought laughter by conveying his desire to return to Korea even before the start of the trip.
To make matters worse, there was a water leak on the ceiling in the dorm. In response, Shinji said, “Here is the flood! I thought the ceiling was falling.” The Koyote members' dream of 'Roh Sa-yeon', who wanted nothing to happen during the trip, came to nothing from the first day.
The night with many stories was over and the second day was bright. The Koyote members moved to experience flying yoga as their first schedule. Flying yoga was an ambitious schedule for Baekga, the 'backguide' for Kim Jong-min and Shinji, who wanted to exercise during their travels. Contrary to the wind, however, the members started making music while stretching. In particular, Kim Jong-min and Baek-ga said, “I feel like vomiting. I got motion sickness” and “Teacher made a mistake” and cried out to stop the class.
On the other hand, Shinji, who has been well-balanced through years of Pilates, showed off his ace appearance by accurately and reliably digesting difficult movements. The flying yoga hell never seemed to end. In the difficult movements that followed, Kim Jong-min and Baek-ga complained of indescribable pain. The two of them let out a silent clamor in pain that was embarrassing to put into words.
Next, Koyote visited a famous Michelin star restaurant in Chiang Mai. Kim Jong-min, the 'Mok Jong-min', inhaled all the food here, from the signature menu, Khao Soi, to puffball mushroom dishes, and coconut water. Among them, Kim Jong-min had his favorite food, and that was cilantro. He said, “I am Kim Go-soo,” and showed his extraordinary love for Gosu by showing ‘gosu-chigi’ rather than ‘noodle-beating’.
Gosu's love was the same as Baekga's. Baekga said, “You have to know how to eat cilantro to make it cilantro,” and Kim Jong-min, who first learned about Baekga’s taste for cilantro, said, “It’s the first time Baekga and I get along so well,” and said that he felt the greatest sense of kinship after 25 years of debut. It caused laughter.
The last place Koyote visited on this day was a photo studio where he could take pictures wearing the traditional Thai costume, tsuttai. The members dressed in tsut-ties and stood in front of the camera recalled memories saying, “Let’s take a picture with the feeling of the 90s” and took a picture full of emotions at that time.
Drenched in memories, the Koyote members put on an impromptu stage, imagining the day they would wear tsut-ties and stand on the concert stage. With the words of leader Kim Jong-min, “I have to become a Hallyu star,” he performed his debut song “Pure Love” with the wish of a Hallyu star. Even after 25 years, the sharp choreography of the members, which did not rust, shone, and Kim Jong-min was very satisfied, saying, “It will be fine to do a concert like this.”
Then, a photo was completed that was satisfactory enough that the Koyote members wanted to use it as a jacket photo for the 25th anniversary album. Shinji said, "I think this picture is just us," and described it as "Kim Jong-min has no idea, I'm a little annoyed, and Baek-ga is serious."
At the same time, Shinji said, “The Koyote itself came out as a picture,” and suggested that we sign this photo, which contains the 25 years of Koyote, and paste it here. Also, Baekga said, “Du Yu no Koyote? We are Koyote,” he introduced to the studio owner, and he did not miss out on publicity. Koyote satisfactorily finished the schedule by catching both rabbits from making memories to promoting.
Next week's trailer, which was released at the end of the broadcast, shows Koyote traveling to MZ backpacker's hot place 'Mon Jam'. In addition, the struggles of Kim Jong-min and Baek-ga, who exploded in appetite and material desire, and 'Mami' Shinji, who stopped the two, were also predicted, raising expectations.
'Mungtteun Returns - Koyote's 25th Anniversary Trip' is broadcast every Tuesday at 8:50 pm.
