Everyone from great actors to rising stars was dispatched to the tvN X TVING project 'O'PENing (Opening) 2023'.
On the 12th, an online production presentation was held for tvN's 'O'PENing 2023' (hereinafter referred to as 'Opening 2023'). At the production presentation that day, 'Walk', 'Don't Press the Peach', '2:15', 'Summer Cold', 'Summer, Love Machine Blues', and 'Shoot Me' were introduced through parts 1 and 2.
'Walking' (Director Noh Young-seop/Screenplay Cheon Se-eun) is a drama in which a crumpled old man living alone, Soon-jae (Lee Soon-jae), goes on a cumbersome mission to walk Sundungi, a humble mutt dog that his wife Gwi-ae (Seonwoo Yong-yeo) takes care of.
On this day, Seonwoo Yong-yeo said, "I raised the puppy for 19 years, and I tried to raise it again, but I couldn't do it because I was getting older. explained the work.
He then said, "There are so many things to learn from animals in life. At the end, my husband studied dogs. Life seems to be the same."
Lee Soon-jae also made a point in the drama world. He said, “tvN has become the subject of Korean dramas through steady efforts, but I want to redefine our country’s historical dramas. Our country has faced many crises in its history, but each time we came together as one and overcame the crisis. Please make some works that raise the spirit of the nation based on their historicity.”
He continued, “Please make a home drama that contains the love of a family. Right now, dramas with content like action do not remain in my head.” In a drama, emotion comes first, and fun comes second. If you only look at fun and action without touching, there will be nothing left.”
Jeong Yi-seo, Choi Won-young, and Shin Hyun-soo will appear in 'Don't Press the Peach' (script Park Seon-young, director Da-hyung Jeong) to present a heart-warming story. Jang Ha-goo, the daughter who protects her mother's old supermarket, and Kim Kang-su, who longs for her old love, unravels a love story that unfolds like a sneeze in the past.
Child actors Park So-yi and Kiso-yu Ki appear in '2:15' (script Park Yeon-ok, director Jeong Se-ryeong). It depicts a fairy tale-like story in which 10-year-old Lim Hyeon-soo finds a 6-year-old child Cho Min-ha trapped inside the house and comes out of the house little by little.
'Summer Cold' (script Seo Hyeon-joo/director Jeong Jong-beom) is a pure summer noir in which a woman who has lived in despair so much that she doesn't care if she dies tomorrow risks her life for the first time in her life to protect a man. Ji-Won Um Ji-Won and Ji-Hwan Park work together to portray love like a summer cold that strikes at any time.
'Summer, Love Machine Blues' is a full-fledged tutoring-part-time equivalent exchange road movie between Lee Soo, an adult goods shopping mall owner from Gosinangin, and Dream, an avid student, completing a new combination of Gosoo and Arin. Director Yoon Hye-ryeom said, “We see the success stories of successful people, but we can see the growth stories of small people.”
Lastly, 'Shoot Me' (written by Jeong Ji-hyeon, directed by Eun-sol Cho) is a two-part series about a high school student genius shooter who manipulated the match because he wanted to protect his dreams and family, but dreams of returning after 7 years. Bae Kang-hee, Han Soo-ah, and Ki-taek Lee are expected to bring out the extreme degree of immersion.
tvN 'Opening' will be broadcast for the first time at 10:40 pm on the 16th.
