'D,P' (Diffy), which garnered attention with its fresh subject matter of the deserter arrest team and a poignant message about the absurd system, is back with Season 2 after two years.
On the morning of the 18th, the Netflix 'DP' season 2 production presentation was held at the Grand Intercontinental Seoul Parnas in Samseong-dong, Seoul. Actors Jung Hae-in, Koo Kyo-hwan, Kim Seong-gyun, Son Seok-gu, Ji Jin-hee, Kim Ji-hyeon and director Han Jun-hee attended the event.
Son Seok-gu did not comment on the recent 'fake acting' remarks on this day. Previously, at a press conference for the play “Army on the Tree” held on the 27th of last month, Son Seok-gu said, “(In the play) I didn’t understand why they made fake acting that shouldn’t be whispered. Season 2 of 'DP' is a Netflix series that tells the story of Junho (Jung Hae-in) and Ho-yeol (Koo Kyo-hyeon), who are part of the military service arrest team (DP), constantly encountering unchanging reality and absurdities.
'DP' season 2 starts from season 1 part 7, not from season 2 part 1. In response, director Han Joon-hee said, "Season 1 ended with a big incident in episode 6, the last episode of season 1. It's a story that continues straight after that, so I wanted to show how the incident affected the characters and what changes occurred, so I decided to do 7. It starts with wealth,” he explained.
Will there be any repercussions that 'DP' season 2 will bring? Director Han Joon-hee said, "I didn't expect the impact of season 1. I thought a lot while making season 2. When asked what changed in Season 2, Jung Hae-in said, "I became a private soldier. Jun-ho entered the military from season 1 and faced a lot while adapting. Son Seok-gu, who plays Captain Lim Ji-seop, explained, "As an officer, I think I will be looking for a sense of responsibility."
