Park Hae-soo's character finds himself in a dilemma in the ENA drama 'Scarecrow'.

Ahead of the fifth episode airing on the 4th, the production team of 'Scarecrow' released a scene depicting a raid on the home of Lee Ki-beom (played by Song Geon-hee), who is suspected in the Kangseong serial murder case. Kang Tae-joo (played by Park Hae-soo) stands silently with a complex expression as he faces Lee Ki-beom's family, who have been thrust into tragedy overnight.

In the previous episode, Kang Tae-joo returned to the investigation of the Kangseong serial murder case alongside Cha Si-young (played by Lee Hee-jun). Through Seo Ji-won (played by Kwak Sun-young), he discovered that the suspect's handkerchief matched one belonging to Kang Sun-young (played by Seo Ji-hye), leading him to suspect her boyfriend, Lee Ki-beom. Meanwhile, Kang Sun-young hid Lee Ki-beom, who was wanted for assaulting Jeon Kyung-ho (played by Kang Jung-woo), in her home. However, Lee Ki-beom fled that night, leaving Kang Sun-young behind. As she searched for him, she encountered the suspect and was attacked, with Cha Si-young also being stabbed while trying to save her, heightening the tension.

The released photos show Detective Jang Myung-do (played by Jeon Jae-hong) and the police confronting Lee Ki-beom's family. Jang Myung-do holds a search warrant for Lee Ki-beom. Unable to accept that her son is a serial killer, Lee Ki-beom's mother (played by Sung Ye-jin) clings to Kang Tae-joo, expressing her anger and frustration. Lee Ki-hwan (played by Jung Moon-sung), Lee Ki-beom's brother and hometown friend, also looks at Kang Tae-joo with resentment, while Kang Tae-joo, feeling like a criminal, cannot meet their eyes. Seo Ji-won, a friend of both, is filled with concern, and Kang Sun-young struggles to hold back tears over Lee Ki-beom's disappearance. In contrast, Cha Si-young stands apart, arms crossed, observing the situation with a cold and detached demeanor, adding a subtle tension to the scene.

The production team stated, "In today's (4th) episode, various circumstances and clues point to Lee Ki-beom as the suspect, throwing Kang Tae-joo into confusion. The repeated murders in Kangseong have intensified the residents' distrust and backlash against the police, and the Kangseong Police Station is under pressure both internally and externally."

Episode 5 of 'Scarecrow' airs tonight (4th) at 10 PM on ENA and is also available on KT Genie TV and TVING.
