'Gugidong Friends' Takes Over TV with Hilarious Pigeon Prank and Dance Challenge

'Gugidong Friends' caused a stir with a pigeon prank in the latest episode.

On the October 1st episode of tvN's 'Gugidong Friends', the lively and humorous antics of Jang Do-yeon, Lee Da-hee, Choi Daniel, Jang Keun-suk, Ahn Jae-hyun, and Kyung Soo-jin delighted viewers, proving that age is just a number.

The episode achieved the highest viewership ratings in its time slot across cable and general programming channels nationwide and in the metropolitan area. The show's target demographic, men and women aged 20-49, also ranked first in the same time slot on cable and general programming channels, according to Nielsen Korea.

While Jang Do-yeon and Lee Da-hee visited a local cafe, their 'housemates' used AI to create a photo of pigeons invading their rooms, setting up a surprise prank. The urgency in the photo fooled Jang Do-yeon and Lee Da-hee, and with a combined 76 years of acting experience, Choi Daniel, Jang Keun-suk, Ahn Jae-hyun, and Kyung Soo-jin called them, urging their quick return home.

Kyung Soo-jin further escalated the prank by calling Lee Da-hee again, saying, "A pigeon pooped in your room," causing the 'neat freak' Lee Da-hee to panic. Recalling a dream about vacuuming a bat from her room the previous night, Lee Da-hee and Jang Do-yeon rushed home. Upon discovering the photo was fake, Lee Da-hee issued a playful warning, while the 'housemates' reveled in their successful prank.

The 'housemates' also bonded over their 'bucket list' activities. To help Lee Da-hee, who wanted to learn the 'like JENNIE' dance challenge, Jang Do-yeon used her connections to bring in choreographers Monica and Lip J. With Kyung Soo-jin's passion for dance, the trio formed the group 'Odd Eyes', transforming into a hip ensemble with makeup and practice outfits.

Excited like never before since moving into the Gugidong house, Lee Da-hee, Jang Do-yeon, and Kyung Soo-jin received dance lessons from Monica and Lip J, then launched into filming the challenge. Jang Do-yeon, stepping up first, shed her introverted vibe and unleashed her hidden enthusiasm, causing laughter. When it was Lee Da-hee's turn, she exuded style and achieved her wish, expressing immense satisfaction.

For Choi Daniel, whose 'bucket list' included a group date, Kyung Soo-jin organized a pottery-making experience called 'Do-yeting', joined by Choi Daniel, Jang Keun-suk, and Ahn Jae-hyun. Jang Do-yeon, Lee Da-hee, and Kyung Soo-jin helped with photo shoots, selection, and nicknames for the meeting application, with Choi Daniel's detailed ideal type list drawing attention.

Despite submitting the application, there's a chance they might be excluded from matching based on the female participants' preferences, leaving viewers curious about whether Choi Daniel, Jang Keun-suk, and Ahn Jae-hyun will join the group date.
