In a preview clip of TV Chosun's variety show 'Joseon's Love Guru', airing on the 27th, Bae Ki-sung reveals his struggle with sudden hearing loss. He shares, "The doctor said if I don't regain my hearing within six months, I might be diagnosed with a disability," highlighting the critical state of his auditory health. He further explains, "To use a hearing aid, I need to hear at least a little. If the sound isn't recognizable, I might need cochlear implant surgery."

In the studio, Kim Gook-jin expresses sympathy, noting, "With cochlear implant surgery, sounds can seem mechanical, and one has to adapt to that," acknowledging the tough situation for a singer like Bae Ki-sung. Choi Sung-kook admires Bae's positive outlook, saying, "Bae Ki-sung is truly amazing. How does he stay so bright?" Kang Soo-ji also empathizes, "In such cases, hospitals usually prescribe sedatives because the distress can make daily life unbearable."
