Yoo Seung-ho Joins SBS's 'Chaebol X Detective 2' for a Special Appearance

Actor Yoo Seung-ho is set to make a special appearance in SBS's 'Chaebol X Detective 2'.

Scheduled to air in the latter half of 2026, SBS's new Friday-Saturday drama 'Chaebol X Detective 2' (produced by Studio S, Big Ocean ENM, and BAE Entertainment) follows the story of a reckless chaebol heir who becomes a detective, showcasing a 'money for money, power for power' investigative style. Known for its unique universe of witty character play and satisfying justice, similar to 'Taxi Driver', 'The Fiery Priest', and 'One Dollar Lawyer', the series has built a strong fanbase. Director Kim Jae-hong and writer Kim Ba-da, who showed perfect synergy in Season 1, reunite, with actor Jung Eun-chae joining as the new partner to the titular role played by Ahn Bo-hyun (as Jin Yi-soo).

Amidst this, actor Yoo Seung-ho's special appearance in 'Chaebol X Detective 2' heightens anticipation. This special appearance was made possible due to his connection with director Kim Jae-hong from their previous collaboration on the drama 'My Strange Hero'.

In the drama, Yoo Seung-ho will passionately portray 'Yoo Sung-won', the youngest son of a media conglomerate and a sculptor. Yoo Sung-won is expected to form a brotherly bond with Jin Yi-soo, whom he befriends through a chaebol third-generation gathering. The unique chemistry between 'original chaebol character' Ahn Bo-hyun and 'new chaebol character' Yoo Seung-ho is drawing attention.

This marks a highly anticipated return to the small screen for Yoo Seung-ho after three years. Celebrating his 27th year in the industry, Yoo Seung-ho is a versatile actor known for his wide-ranging performances across films like 'The Way Home', dramas such as 'Remember: War of the Son', 'Ruler: Master of the Mask', 'My Strange Hero', and plays like 'Angels in America' and 'Killing Caesar'.
