Yook Joong-wan Reveals Separate Bedrooms in 10-Year Marriage on 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2'

Yook Joong-wan, known for his bachelor lifestyle, has opened up about his 10-year marriage and separate bedroom arrangement on the latest episode of SBS's 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2'.

On the October 21st broadcast, Yook surprised viewers by revealing that he has been married for a decade. The show's hosts expressed curiosity about his married life, asking if he has ever revealed his wife's face.

Yook met his wife, Jung Hyun-joo, as her guitar teacher. Known for his solo lifestyle on the reality show 'I Live Alone', Yook admitted to continuing to sleep in separate rooms after marriage, drawing attention.

"We've had separate rooms since the beginning because our sleeping habits are different," Yook explained. Comedian Kim Sook humorously asked, "Was that a condition of your marriage?" to which Yook simply laughed it off.

Yook mentioned his 9-year-old daughter, Yook On-eum, saying, "She resembles her mother." He added, "Today, my wife and daughter went to her parents' house in Busan. I feel a bit lonely," yet he smiled.

Yook expressed that he has to be cautious when his wife is around, saying, "She dedicates everything to our child. Her life revolves around our daughter's schedule, so she rarely leaves the house. Her maternal instincts are strong, and as a result, I can't go anywhere either."

When Yook is home, his wife often plans activities for him, saying, "Go to Everland today; I've already bought the tickets." He humorously noted, "Having complete freedom is a rare treat. It's been 10 years," as he enjoyed a beer at 10 a.m.

Yook moved to Mok-dong for his daughter's education, but he confessed, "I feel a bit suffocated. While Mok-dong is great for children's safety and education, it doesn't suit my personality. I feel like an outsider."

Seo Jang-hoon asked, "You moved for her education, but is she doing well in school?" Yook replied, "She attended an English kindergarten, so I thought she'd do well on her level test for an English academy, but..." he sighed, bringing laughter to the studio.
