Kang Soo-ji Expresses Discontent Over Kim Gook-jin's Anniversary Gift on 'Joseon's Lovebirds'
On the episode aired on the 20th, singer Insooni and her husband celebrated a special wedding anniversary.
Insooni's husband revealed, "It's our anniversary, but there's something strange. Men usually give small gifts to women, but women don't. I haven't received a gift in 32 years of marriage."
Kang Soo-ji revealed, "My husband has only given me a gift once." When asked what the gift was, she hesitated but eventually disclosed, "He gave me gold," causing laughter on set.
Regarding the gold gift, Choi Sung-kook speculated, "Didn't he win it as a prize at a golf tournament?" Kang Soo-ji boasted, "I didn't ask for gold. He bought a necklace so big I can't even wear it," prompting laughter.
Kim Gook-jin stated, "Women don't usually give gifts. I find that strange," and insisted that the one-sided gift-giving "becomes normal as it continues," drawing attention.
Additionally, she gifted her husband with an 'eyebrow tattoo' procedure, acknowledging his 32-year habit of drawing his eyebrows. Insooni shared, "He wanted it in the past, but I advised against it because the technology wasn't advanced, resulting in caterpillar-like eyebrows."
Her husband, surprised by the sudden eyebrow tattoo, commented, "When I joined 'Joseon's Lovebirds', I was told the theme was 'mother and daughter' love, but my role keeps increasing, which is surprising." He humorously added, "Is there a fee for my appearance? Please include my wife's promise to share it in the subtitles," eliciting laughter.
