Yumi's Cells Season 3: Star-Studded Voice Cast and Exciting Plot Twists Await Fans

Yumi's Cells Season 3 has announced an impressive lineup of voice actors set to enhance the charm of the beloved cells. The series premiered on TVING and aired its first episode on tvN on the 13th, starting with a 2.3% viewership rating, which slightly dropped to 1.7% for the second episode. Analysts suggest that the lower ratings might be due to the higher viewership on OTT platforms, given its original release on TVING.

The TVING original, Yumi's Cells Season 3, has captivated viewers with the love-hate romance between Yumi (played by Kim Go-eun) and Soonrok (played by Kim Jae-won) in just two episodes. The series has now revealed the voice cast that will bring more life to the cell village.

Returning voice actors include Shim Kyu-hyuk, Park Ji-yoon, Ahn So-yi, Eom Sang-hyun, Lee Jang-won, Jung Jae-heon, Sa Moon-young, Kim Yeon-woo, Lee Seul, Tak Won-jung, and Lee Sang-ho, who have skillfully captured the emotional nuances of the characters. Notably, Ahn Young-mi reprises her role as Yumi's 'Umkeum' cell.

Joining them are actors voicing the diverse cells of 'homebody perfectionist' Soonrok. Leading the pack is Jung Hyung-seok, known for his distinctive voice and narration in I Am a Natural Person. Jang Min-hyuk, who voiced characters like Kristoff in Frozen and Jung Dae-man in Slam Dunk, will also voice Soonrok's cells. Jang Ye-na, who voiced Suzume in Suzume's Door-Locking, joins to portray another of Soonrok's cells. Fans are eager to see what characters these new voice actors will bring to life.

Jung Hyung-seok expressed his excitement, saying, "I was thrilled to join Yumi's Cells Season 3 as a fan. Please show lots of love for the series and find out which Soonrok cell I voice in the episodes." Jang Min-hyuk added, "I'm delighted to be part of such a great project. Director Lee Sang-yeob commented, "Each voice actor brings their unique color and feel, significantly influencing the creation of the cell characters. Their distinctiveness plays a crucial role in expressing the diverse cell characters." He added, "For Soonrok, we wanted to avoid typical casting due to the character's unexpected and quirky charm. Fortunately, we found great voice actors for Soonrok's cells, resulting in an entertaining outcome."

In the first two episodes, Yumi's Cells Season 3 delighted viewers with Yumi and Soonrok's lively love-hate romance. The upcoming episodes 3 and 4 promise to thrill viewers with changes in their relationship.
