Drama Unfolds on 'I Am SOLO: Love Continues' as Contestants Navigate Romantic Choices

The latest episode of 'I Am SOLO: Love Continues' left viewers in shock as contestant Sunja from the 24th season declared, "I absolutely cannot date a man who suggests splitting the bill."

Airing on the 16th, the ENA and SBS Plus reality show captivated audiences with the simultaneous selection night date scene, where solo men made their choices.

Previously, Youngho from the 18th season, who had been chosen by both Sunja from the 24th season and Sunja from the 25th season, took the vegetarian Sunja from the 24th season to enjoy Jeju-style clam noodle soup. During their meal, the trio discussed their views on dating. Youngho asked, "Is there anything that would make you lose interest in someone, no matter how much you like them?" Sunja from the 24th season replied, "I can't date a man who suggests splitting the bill. Some people suggest taking turns paying, but I don't like that. I'll handle it myself." She added, "Dating is romantic and a luxury, isn't it? I think if you can't afford it, you shouldn't do it." Youngho responded playfully, "Why are you getting worked up? Was it just a few days ago?" He then shared, "I try to be considerate to my girlfriend, but if she takes it for granted, that's a deal-breaker for me."

After their meal, they had a one-on-one conversation at a cafe. Youngho expressed his interest in Sunja from the 25th season, saying, "I don't think I need to get to know anyone else besides you and Youngja from the 25th season." However, he admitted feeling disappointed, "When we talked this morning, your energy seemed low, and I wondered if you didn't want to talk to me."

Sunja from the 25th season clarified, "Oh, I actually enjoyed it. That's why I wanted to get to know you today." Youngho laughed, "I misunderstood. We should have more opportunities to talk." After a pleasant conversation, Youngho told Sunja from the 24th season, "The more I see you, the more I think you're a great person, but I'm a bit conflicted," indicating his intention to decline further interest. Sunja from the 24th season urged him, "Think about it more," but later confided to the production team, "I felt that Youngho sees me as just a fun younger sister."

Meanwhile, Youngcheol from the 15th season dined alone, expressing to the production team, "My ideal type is someone tall and cute, but there's no one like that here. I've felt less motivated. However, I'm most drawn to Youngja from the 25th season among the participants, so I'll try my best from now on."

As night fell, the men's choices for the simultaneous selection date were revealed. Youngcheol from the 27th season left Sunja from the 17th season to join Youngja from the 25th season, while Youngsik from the 20th season moved from Youngja's side to Sunja from the 17th season. With the partners switching unexpectedly, Youngja from the 25th season exclaimed, "What kind of twisted fate is this?" Youngsik also expressed disbelief, "Isn't this ridiculous?"

Subsequently, Youngho from the 18th season, Sangcheol from the 13th season, and Youngcheol from the 15th season all chose Youngja from the 25th season, resulting in a 4:1 date including Youngcheol from the 27th season. This left Sunja from the 24th season, Sunja from the 25th season, and Hyunsook from the 27th season to dine alone. In an interview with the production team, Hyunsook from the 27th season expressed her frustration, "I felt betrayed by Sangcheol from the 13th season. I thought, 'He took a lot from me today.' I was disappointed that he didn't say anything about his choice. Was I just a clown?" She continued to express her feelings of betrayal while dining with Sunja from the 24th season and Hyunsook from the 25th season.
