Ahn Hyo-seop's Dynamic Rural Life Unveiled in New Drama 'Onward to Success'
Premiering on Wednesday, the 22nd, SBS's new Wednesday-Thursday drama 'Onward to Success' features a 'seasonal romance' between perfectionist farmer Matthew Lee (aka Quail) and sell-out show host Dam Ye-jin, as they navigate their intertwined lives.
In the drama, Matthew Lee is a multi-talented young farmer from Deokpung Village, juggling farming, raw material development, and management. Known for his meticulous and sometimes prickly nature, he is affectionately called 'Quail' by the villagers, tirelessly addressing their various concerns.
Anticipation is high for Ahn Hyo-seop's portrayal of Matthew Lee. Ahn explained, "Matthew Lee, with his various titles beyond farming, is driven to create something with purpose. This is why he is so dedicated to his busy life."
Ahn, who even learned to drive a tractor for the role, shared, "Driving the tractor was incredibly fun. Since there were many scenes where I drove senior actors, I prepared meticulously, treating the tractor as my own car," further piquing curiosity.
Matthew Lee, who will stand out in Deokpung Village, is expected to capture the hearts of viewers as well as the villagers. The human warmth and charm of Matthew Lee's bustling days promise to deliver laughter, emotion, and excitement, making the premiere of 'Onward to Success' highly anticipated.
