'Heart Signal 5' Premiere: Kang Yoo-kyung Becomes the Center of Attention
The premiere episode of Channel A's 'Heart Signal 5', aired on the 14th, introduced viewers to the six new residents of the Signal House: Park Woo-yeol, Kim Sung-min, Kim Seo-won, Kim Min-joo, Jung Gyu-ri, and Kang Yoo-kyung, as they experienced their exciting first meeting.
Park Woo-yeol was the first to arrive at the Signal House located in Itaewon, Seoul. Standing at 188cm with a charming 'puppy-like' appearance, he caught everyone's attention. He displayed a calm and considerate demeanor by helping Kim Min-joo with her luggage upon her arrival. Following Kim Min-joo, Jung Gyu-ri, with her striking features, arrived, causing Woo-yeol's ears to turn red, which the prediction panel speculated as a sign of interest. The atmosphere shifted as Kim Sung-min, who exuded a 'class president' vibe, joined the group. Kim Seo-won, with a chic charm reminiscent of actor Kim Jae-won, and the fresh-faced Kang Yoo-kyung completed the group.
Feeling disheartened by the dry conversation, Jung Gyu-ri later spoke with Park Woo-yeol, and they surprisingly hit it off. Woo-yeol offered to drive Gyu-ri to the subway station for work the next day, making her smile. In a private interview, Woo-yeol confessed, "I actually felt the most romantic interest in Gyu-ri. Her smile is so beautiful that I couldn't help but keep looking at her."
Soon after, Kim Min-joo and Jung Gyu-ri also appeared in the kitchen. Despite this, the three male residents focused solely on Kang Yoo-kyung. Observing this, Yoon Jong-shin commented, "Two men have turned their backs," but also praised, "Yoo-kyung has broken down her walls in record time on 'Heart Signal'." Kim Eana humorously added, "That's because the wall was meant to be broken down," eliciting laughter.
Kim Min-joo sent a message to Sung-min, and Jung Gyu-ri texted Woo-yeol. Yoon Jong-shin applauded, "The first unanimous choice since Season 2," while the prediction panel, having failed due to Roy Kim's incorrect guess, jokingly chided him, "Get rid of that bad intuition." Roy Kim admitted, "I got ahead of myself," bringing laughter to the scene.
