IU and Byeon Woo-seok Share Playful Banter and Compliments on '21st Century Grand Prince' Set

Actor Byeon Woo-seok praised his co-star IU as "sexy" during their collaboration on the drama '21st Century Grand Prince.'

On October 13, the YouTube channel 'Elle Korea' featured IU and Byeon Woo-seok, who are currently starring together in the MBC drama '21st Century Grand Prince.' In the video, the two actors took time to discuss each other's strengths.

IU complimented Byeon Woo-seok, saying he is "really cute, generous, and has great skin." In response, Byeon Woo-seok remarked, "IU is truly sexy," which heated up the atmosphere. IU jokingly replied, "I feel like I'm being teased," but Byeon Woo-seok assured her, "I mean it sincerely," adding to the laughter.

The duo also answered questions about moments they were grateful for and slightly annoyed by each other. Byeon Woo-seok expressed gratitude towards IU for supporting his acting, saying, "When we act, we often shoot separately. She supported me well from the opposite side, making me a fan."

When IU asked, "Were you not a fan before?" Byeon Woo-seok candidly admitted, "I liked your music but wasn't a fan," eliciting laughter. He mentioned that he found IU slightly annoying when she left the set early. IU added, "On the contrary, if I asked, 'You're not leaving first, right?' he would wait for me."

IU also recalled a moment she was thankful for Byeon Woo-seok. She shared, "At first, I was worried and felt pressure to immerse myself in the role. But when Woo-seok entered the set, he was like a prince, embodying the character of Ian Daegun." She praised him, saying she didn't need to make extra efforts to immerse herself.

When Byeon Woo-seok reacted, "Isn't that too much praise?" IU candidly shared an annoying moment, mentioning his height of 190cm. She said, "Sometimes he wears shoes with heels, and I once asked if he could just wear socks," causing laughter.

IU revealed that Byeon Woo-seok switched to flat shoes out of consideration, adding, "It was as if there was no sole." She continued, "His face is small, and when he lets his bangs down, it feels even more annoying. There are days when he has both heels and bangs down," maintaining a playful atmosphere. Byeon Woo-seok humorously responded, "Those are usually the days after I left early the previous day," filling the set with laughter.
