Singer and actor Rain (Jung Ji-hoon) shared his thoughts on taking on his first villain role.

Recently, at a café in Samcheong-dong, Seoul, Rain discussed his role in the Netflix series 'Bloodhounds 2'.

The second season of Netflix's 'Bloodhounds' follows 'Gun-woo' (played by Woo Do-hwan) and 'Woo-jin' (played by Lee Sang-yi) as they deliver another knockout punch against a global illegal boxing league dominated by money and violence.

Rain plays the villain 'Baek Jeong', who opposes Gun-woo and Woo-jin. Reflecting on his debut villain role, Rain said, "It's been about seven months, and it took quite a while to shake off the character since I grew attached to it." He added, "There are moments when my temper flares up, indicating that the character's influence still lingers."

Rain's deep immersion in the villain role was noticeable even to his closest family, including his wife, Kim Tae-hee. "It wasn't my words, but my eyes that made her ask why I looked at her that way," Rain shared, acknowledging the lasting impact of the role. He explained that the character was particularly challenging because "Baek Jeong isn't a psychopath or sociopath but someone with anger management issues, acting instinctively like a runaway train."

Rain further elaborated, "Baek Jeong is a character with almost no backstory, so after being cast, I worked with the director to create his background, including his origins and family." He concluded, "The process was lengthy, which is why the character's impact still resonates with me."
