Wanna One Reunites with Fans in Seoul, Kicking Off New Reality Show

Wanna One, the group that debuted in 2017, reunited with their fans, Wannables, in Sangam-dong, where they first met nine years ago, marking the grand opening of their new reality show. Meanwhile, the leader Yoon Ji-sung, born in 1991, is trending on social media for his peak appearance.

Global K-POP content platform Mnet Plus announced that on Monday, the 6th, at 10 AM, the opening ceremony for Wanna One's new reality show, 'Wanna One Go: Back to Base,' was successfully held at DMC Cultural Park in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul.

The event was filled with excitement as numerous fans gathered to witness the reunion of Wanna One. The nine members (Park Ji-hoon, Lee Dae-hwi, Kim Jae-hwan, Ong Seong-wu, Park Woo-jin, Yoon Ji-sung, Hwang Min-hyun, Bae Jin-young, Ha Sung-woon) walked the blue carpet, engaging closely with fans, and the venue was instantly filled with explosive cheers.

The event was hosted by Yoon Ji-sung and Lee Dae-hwi, who led the atmosphere with stable hosting and witty remarks. The members, overwhelmed with emotion, shouted their group greeting "All I Wanna Do, Wanna One!" on stage, and the eagerly waiting fans responded with enthusiastic cheers, filling the venue. Many global fans who couldn't attend in person consoled themselves by watching the live broadcast on Mnet Plus's official Instagram account.

The members also expressed their heartfelt feelings towards Kang Daniel and Lai Kuan-lin, who couldn't attend. They used prepared standees to deliver a surprise skit, saying, "Our two friends are with us in spirit, so please give them lots of support," reinforcing the meaning of the '11-member complete group.'

The 'Ask Anything GO' corner, where members answered pre-submitted questions through Mnet Plus, received a particularly enthusiastic response. The members surprised the audience by revealing the 2026 version of the 'Pick Me' choreography, raising the excitement level. They also showcased parodies of Park Ji-hoon's famous lines from the recent hit movie 'The King and the Clown' and participated in the latest trending challenges, proving their unchanged variety skills and chemistry.

When asked about his peak time during Wanna One's activities, Yoon Ji-sung replied, "I think now is my peak. I don't want to say it's the same as back then." He added, "I'm managing myself diligently. I want to make our future activities the peak and spend more time with Wannables," he joked.

Towards the end of the event, the members shared their thoughts on reuniting after a long time and delivered heartfelt messages to their fans. Hwang Min-hyun said, "It's been a while since I called the name Wannable, and it's refreshing to be together again. Just like the saying 'When Wannables gather, Wanna One gathers,' I hope we have many good moments together starting today."

Park Woo-jin expressed, "It's been a long time since our last concert, and with the rain, it feels like a special memory. Thank you for being with us from early morning, and I hope to create fun times together in the future." Kim Jae-hwan added, "Thank you sincerely for coming despite the bad weather. I hope to walk together towards eternity starting today, and I hope Wannables will join us on that path."

Ha Sung-woon shared, "It's like a dream to be together again after such a long time. Thank you for waiting and supporting us." Bae Jin-young said, "It brings back a lot of old memories and complex emotions. I will present more wonderful and diverse memories as much as you've waited."

Park Ji-hoon stated, "We reunited to give you new memories and emotions. I will do my best to create fun and beautiful times." Ong Seong-wu expressed, "I'm really happy to meet the members and Wannables after a long time. I hope we can meet like this again next time."

Lee Dae-hwi emphasized, "Thank you for coming in much larger numbers than expected. Wanna One is just beginning." Finally, Yoon Ji-sung added, "Just like the day we first met when the cherry blossoms were falling, we meet again today. I hope to create many good memories together in the future."
