Yonggane Finally Secures Victory Against Jeonggane on 'Amazing Thursday'

Yonggane finally turned the tables on Jeonggane, securing a comeback victory.

On the October 2nd episode of tvN's 'Amazing Thursday', the competition between Jeonggane, who had already secured two wins, and the struggling Yonggane intensified. The episode featured a variety of performances from Red Velvet's Wendy, Tours' Dohoon and Youngjae, as well as Kiki Sui and Kiya, providing a delightful auditory experience.

The episode kicked off with a popularity contest between Jeonggane's Noh Min-woo and Yonggane's Dohoon. Noh Min-woo shared an anecdote about his school days, saying, "My looks were so famous that girls from other schools would come to see me, and they would ride the bus with me to the last stop." He previously revealed on a variety show that he had gone through tough times but found solace in his own reflection, which drew laughter. Dohoon humorously countered, "I couldn't fill a bus, but I did fill the nurse's office."

The two teams continued their banter in the 'Bangku Karaoke' segment. When Yonggane made several mistakes singing Yoon Soo-il's 'Apartment', Jeonggane's Jeong Il-rang teased, "It feels like a bland start." In response, Yonggane's Lee Yong-jin quipped back when Jeonggane faltered with Wonder Girls' 'Tell Me', saying, "Why can't you tell me when it's 'Tell Me'?"

As the new menu item, Dubai Chewy Cookies, heightened the teams' desire for Boom Coins, Kim Jang-hoon's unpredictable antics caught attention. He stumbled while singing Lee Moon-se's 'Flying Through the Deep Night', prompting Kim Ji-yoo to impersonate actress Jang Mi-hee, shouting, "Kim Jang-hoon, get out!", leaving a memorable impression.

In the 'Singku Karaoke', Dohoon, Youngjae, Sui, and Kiya took the stage for a '5th Generation Idol' match, raising expectations from the start. Sui and Kiya delivered a powerful rap and vocal performance with 2NE1's 'Come Back Home', while Dohoon and Youngjae charmed with H.O.T.'s 'Candy'. Additionally, KCM humorously introduced a 'Spicy Singing Style' after eating spicy tteokbokki, singing Kim Min-woo's 'It's Only Love'. Wendy moved the audience with her soft vocals in Kim Bum-soo's 'Last Love'.

The final showdown in 'Bangku Attack Karaoke' featured iconic songs like Park Hye-kyung's 'Goodbye' and DAY6's 'You Were Beautiful'. The outcome hinged on Jeonggane's correct answers. In a tense finish, Yonggane secured 149 Boom Coins to Jeonggane's 146, marking Yonggane's first victory, with Dohoon and Youngjae named as the episode's VIPs.

In a last-ditch effort, Jeonggane's Sui and Kiya attempted to sway the results with charming antics, asking for more coins with cute gestures. They showcased their talents with Shin-chan impressions and an a cappella performance of '404 (New Era)', earning additional Boom Coins but ultimately falling short of Yonggane's 149.
