Former 4Minute Star Kwon So-hyun Embarks on Her First Theater Role in 'Jeonghee'
Kwon will be performing in the play 'Jeonghee' at the Yes24 Stage 3 in Daehangno until June 14. This marks her first foray into theater, a new challenge since her debut.
Ahead of her performance, Kwon expressed through her agency, Cube Entertainment, "I'm nervous about my first play, but I'm also excited to be back on stage after a long time. As a spin-off work, I tried to maintain the original essence while discovering the uniqueness of 'Jeonghee.' Playing dual roles, I prepared to clearly show the changes."
'Jeonghee' is a spin-off of the popular 2018 tvN drama 'My Mister,' reinterpreted from the perspective of Jeonghee, who runs an old bar in Seoul's Huigye-dong. It begins in the familiar setting of 'Jeonghee's Bar' and follows how minor cracks can influence a person's timeline.
In the play, Kwon takes on the roles of Ji-an and young Jeonghee, serving as the central axis that intersects the narrative of 'Jeonghee,' delicately portraying the evolving emotional lines.
Kwon So-hyun is also set to star as the lead character Joo-hee in the film 'Tango at Dawn,' which premieres on the 22nd of this month. With her casting in the drama 'Empathy Cells,' she continues to establish her presence as an actress across theater, film, and television.
