'Hangout with Yoo' Teases Return of 'Prince of Gimhae' Yang Sang-guk
In recent episodes, the show, directed by Kim Jin-yong, Lee Joo-won, Kim Ki-ho, Ahn Ji-sun, Bang Sung-soo, and Park Eun-jin, and written by No Min-sun, has been praised for the chemistry between its cast members Yoo Jae-suk, Haha, Joo Woo-jae, and Heo Kyung-hwan, despite a slight dip in viewership from 4.8% to 3.5%.
'Hangout with Yoo' has proven its popularity by ranking first in the non-drama category for Saturday TV shows and fourth overall in the TV-OTT non-drama category in the FUNdex report by Good Data Corporation for the fourth week of March. The upcoming episode featuring Yang Sang-guk's return in 'The Era of Country Bumpkins: War of Money' and the appearance of Byun Woo-seok from the new MBC drama '21st Century Grand Lady' has generated buzz.
Additionally, the show achieved the second spot in the 2026 March survey by Gallup Korea for favorite TV programs among Koreans.
The episode airing on April 4th has already sparked excitement with its teaser featuring Yang Sang-guk's 'Seoul Visit' as the 'Prince of Gimhae.' The concept, inspired by comments comparing him to 'Prince Charles (now King)' of the UK, promises laughter. Yoo Jae-suk and Joo Woo-jae will play the 'attendants,' while Haha and Heo Kyung-hwan will dress as 'royal dogs.' The 'royal dog' characters were humorously born from Joo Woo-jae's joke about Haha and Heo Kyung-hwan walking side by side like dogs being taken for a walk. Yang Sang-guk's serious portrayal of the 'prince mode' is expected to be a highlight.
