Cha Joo-young Shines in 'Climax' with Intense Performance and Intriguing Character Dynamics
In the latest episode of ENA's Monday-Tuesday drama 'Climax,' aired on the 23rd, the storyline focused on the intense confrontation between Bang Tae-seop (played by Joo Ji-hoon) and Lee Yang-mi (played by Cha Joo-young). Previously, Lee Yang-mi had tightened the noose around Choo Sang-ah (played by Ha Ji-won) in an attempt to capture Bang Tae-seop, who had exposed Nam Hye-hoon's (played by Yoon Sa-bong) corruption.
Intriguingly, Lee Yang-mi claimed responsibility for Choo Sang-ah's downfall in the past, mentioning Oh Kwang-jae (played by Seo Hyun-woo), which piqued viewers' curiosity. Her sly smile as she hinted at Bang Tae-seop's ignorance of Choo Sang-ah's true nature left audiences wondering about the backstory between these characters.
Lee Yang-mi is also seen preparing to disrupt the lives of Bang Tae-seop and Choo Sang-ah by enlisting Choi Ji-ho (played by Oh Seung-hoon) and Park Jae-sang (played by Lee Ga-seop). She handed Choi Ji-ho a recruitment fee, urging him to embrace his sense of duty, setting the stage for future developments.
Through her dynamic use of vocal tone, breathing, and facial expressions, Cha Joo-young has brought her character to life, drawing viewers into the narrative. Her commanding presence has made her an irreplaceable force in the series.
'Climax' airs every Monday and Tuesday at 10 PM and is also available on KT Genie TV and Disney+.
