Han Hye-jin's Gyaru Makeup Transformation Takes the Internet by Storm

Han Hye-jin (43) is making waves with her Gyaru makeup look.

On March 26, Han Hye-jin's YouTube channel released a video titled 'Han Hye-jin is Bone Gyaru, Pungja is Fat Gyaru.' The video features Han Hye-jin visiting Tokyo, Japan, with her close friend Pungja, as they both try out Gyaru makeup.

In the video, Han Hye-jin suggests, "Let's counter with Gyaru makeup after seeing Myung-soo oppa's Wanghong makeup hit." Pungja, initially taken aback, responds, "Isn't this too late?" to which Han Hye-jin replies, "We came to Japan late, so it can't be helped," setting the mood for their adventure.

As they head to the makeup shop, the difference in their attitudes continues. Pungja expresses concern, asking, "Are there Gyarus this big in Japan?" and adds, "Looking pretty isn't important. Leaving a black history is," which brings laughter. In contrast, Han Hye-jin expresses excitement, saying, "Why think of it as a black history? Will we have this experience again until we die?"

The duo then embarks on their transformation, choosing Gyaru makeup and outfits that suit their styles. Pungja completes her 'Fat Gyaru' look with a blonde wig, leopard print outfit, multiple belts, and fur boots. Han Hye-jin, transformed into a pink-toned Gyaru, exclaims, "This is so fun. It's like playing with dolls," and after completing her makeup, she expresses satisfaction, saying, "Isn't it so pretty?"

The two, now in their Gyaru styles, hit the streets for a photoshoot. Han Hye-jin, choosing the area around Shibuya Station as their photo spot, naturally strikes poses with her model aura, while Pungja matches her professionalism.

However, once on the streets, they couldn't hide their embarrassment. Han Hye-jin admits, "I'm embarrassed," and Pungja shares, "I've stood in front of many people while broadcasting, but I've never been this embarrassed," revealing their honest feelings.

Despite this, they encourage each other, saying, "Let's be more confident at times like this," and continue with the shoot. After about an hour, they finish their Gyaru concept shoot, revealing with laughter that it was actually for a debut album jacket, with the group name 'Takoyaki.'

Viewers of the video have been showering praise, commenting, "Han Hye-jin looks like Anya Taylor-Joy," "Models are different, her adaptability is amazing," "She looks like a real person in Japan," "It suits her so well," and "She could pass as a member of a girl group in their 20s."
