Choi Jin-hee to Share North Korea Performance Stories on 'Golden Friday'

Renowned as a 'national singer,' 69-year-old Choi Jin-hee will reveal her experiences performing in North Korea on the upcoming episode of 'Golden Friday.'

Airing on the 27th, the 14th episode of TV CHOSUN's 'Golden Friday' will feature Choi Jin-hee, a pioneer of the 'trot ballad' genre, as the Golden Star. Loved on stages in Japan, North Korea, and beyond, Choi will captivate the audience with her powerful live performance from the opening. She is set to share behind-the-scenes stories that are rarely heard, adding another layer of entertainment.

Choi Jin-hee will captivate viewers by sharing her unique experiences from her performances in North Korea. Having visited the country four times, she recalls, "Upon arriving at the airport, a high-ranking North Korean official came to guide me personally," and added, "I traveled alone in a Mercedes-Benz," stirring the studio audience. She will also share various anecdotes about the exceptional hospitality she received there.

Amidst this, a performance that instantly elevates the atmosphere takes place. As Nam Seung-min begins to sing, not only his colleagues but also Golden Star Choi Jin-hee stood up to applaud.
