'I Am SOLO' Contestant Young-ja's Bold Remarks Stir Controversy Post-Broadcast

The latest episode of SBS Plus and ENA's 'I Am SOLO' has sparked discussions due to contestant Young-ja's candid comments.

On the episode aired on the 25th, viewers witnessed the final dates of the solo participants before making their ultimate choices. The conversation between Young-ja and Young-sik particularly caught the audience's attention.

During their one-on-one meeting, Young-ja did not hold back her dissatisfaction. She bluntly remarked, “It feels like you lack your own thoughts. It seems like a show and feels fabricated.” She further added, “I don’t really know who Young-sik is,” expressing her uncertainty about their relationship.

Young-ja also criticized Young-sik for seemingly not putting effort into their relationship. She expressed her frustration, saying, “I wonder if he’s just complacent because he thinks we’ve already connected. I even thought he might just find it bothersome.”

The tension continued during another date. While talking to Kwang-soo, Young-ja mentioned, “All the dates with Young-sik were dull and boring. It was so hard that I couldn’t even manage my expressions,” shocking those around her.

Defconn, observing the situation, commented, “Saying things like that can label the other person as boring,” and questioned, “Haven’t you also failed to express yourself adequately?”

Moreover, throughout the conversation, Young-ja frequently brought up Young-soo, revealing her mixed feelings. She expressed regret about the timing of Young-soo’s expressions of interest, wondering, “What if it had been a little sooner?”

The MCs reacted by saying, “You keep talking about Young-soo in front of Kwang-soo,” “There’s a lack of consideration for the other person,” and “It’s not polite,” criticizing Young-ja’s behavior.

In an interview, Young-ja stated, “I’m contemplating whether to choose Young-sik, but I’m not thinking about anyone else,” yet added, “I don’t know what will happen,” showing her ongoing indecision.
