Former MLB Star Kim Byung-hyun's Unwavering 'My Way' Lifestyle on 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2'

Kim Byung-hyun, the former Major League Baseball player, showcased his unyielding 'my way' lifestyle on the latest episode of SBS's 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2'.

The episode aired on the 24th, revealing Kim's life after experiencing failure in 11 business ventures. The show highlighted his decision to inform his wife, Han Kyung-min, about an upcoming business trip to Japan just a day before departure. Previously, Han had expressed frustration about learning of his business ventures and closures through friends or media.

The Japan trip was scheduled for two weeks, raising concerns among the panelists about his lack of communication with his wife. Kim confidently responded, "That's why I told her the day before."

Kim, who is set to travel to Japan as a WBC ambassador for content filming, boasts a legendary career as the first Korean to win the World Series twice.

When asked by Kim Sook why he was chosen over Park Chan-ho and Choo Shin-soo as a Major League ambassador, Kim humorously claimed, "They needed a friendly face for promotion, and I guess I'm better suited than Park or Choo."

Kim's preparation for the two-week trip was notably lacking, prompting his sons to express concern, asking if he had packed essentials like his passport, clothes, toothpaste, and socks.

Despite criticism following his appearance on 'Same Bed, Different Dreams', Kim remained steadfast in his preference for Korean cuisine. He requested his wife to prepare pork kimchi stew and rolled omelet before his departure.

Lee Hyun-yi and Lee Ji-hye expressed disbelief at his demands, while Seo Jang-hoon remarked, "Are you moving to Japan? You can find Korean restaurants anywhere."

Kim's sons assisted their mother in preparing the meal, showcasing a harmonious family dynamic. When one son joked about Kim needing to mature in his 40s, Han humorously replied, "He'll be the coolest before he dies."

Meanwhile, Kim revealed he has kept a promise to his family for 16 years. "Since the birth of my first daughter, Min-joo, I've vowed to abstain from alcohol until she becomes an adult. However, stopping my entrepreneurial pursuits is not an option," he stated firmly.
