Cha Hak-yeon Captivates in New Character Stills for Coupang Play's 'The Absolute Value of Romance'
'The Absolute Value of Romance' is a high-teen series centered around a high school girl who writes BL novels about handsome teachers and unexpectedly encounters them in real life, becoming the protagonist of a tumultuous school life. As the series gears up for its release, Cha Hak-yeon transforms into the character Ga Woo-soo, a perfect cold-hearted math teacher, showcasing a different charm through the character stills.
In the released stills, Cha Hak-yeon embodies the role of Ga Woo-soo, a newly appointed math teacher at Murim High School. His impeccably organized demeanor, calm charisma, and unwavering gaze towards students perfectly portray the traits of a Mensa member with an IQ of 156 and a consummate math teacher. The intriguing allure within his seemingly unapproachable distance heightens curiosity about the character Woo-soo played by Cha Hak-yeon.
On the other hand, stills captured outside the classroom offer a different tension. Woo-soo's serious expression as he stares at his laptop on his first day hints at the tumultuous developments he will face when he encounters secret writer Yi-joo (played by Kim Hyang-gi).
Cha Hak-yeon continues to build his filmography with dramas like 'Labor Inspector Jo', 'Diva of the Deserted Island', 'Joseon Attorney', and the film 'Midnight Sun'. In 'The Absolute Value of Romance', he is set to captivate viewers once again with a wide spectrum of performances, from a cold serious face to flexible comedic moments.
'The Absolute Value of Romance' will premiere on April 17 at 8 PM on Coupang Play. It will be available for free to both Coupang Wow members and general members.
