Episode 8 showcased the persistent advances of Song Tae-seop (played by Park Sung-hoon) and Shin Ji-soo (played by Lee Ki-taek) towards Lee Yi-young (played by Han Ji-min). After much contemplation, Lee Yi-young chose Song Tae-seop, leading to a viewership rating of 4.7% in the metropolitan area and 4.5% nationwide, with a peak of 5.4% in the metropolitan area, according to Nielsen Korea's paid household ratings.
Lee Yi-young found herself in an awkward situation when Shin Ji-soo confessed his feelings in front of her apartment complex, only to be interrupted by the sudden appearance of Song Tae-seop. The tension escalated as Song Tae-seop questioned Shin Ji-soo's intentions, and Shin Ji-soo refused to back down. The situation became so intense that even the security guard had to intervene, prompting Lee Yi-young to retreat to her home.
The next day, the flirting battle between Song Tae-seop and Shin Ji-soo intensified at Lee Yi-young's workplace. Both men sent coffee to her department, turning it into a coffee haven. Song Tae-seop checked in on her morning, noon, and night, while Shin Ji-soo bombarded her with messages. The situation reached a climax when both men showed up simultaneously, leading Lee Yi-young to ignore them both.
Despite the allure of romance, receiving attention from two men proved overwhelming for Lee Yi-young. Torn between feelings of discomfort and guilt, she sought advice from her friends. Her friend Lim Seung-joon (played by Joo Yeon-woo) advised her to make a quick decision, while top actress Son Jung-ah (played by Moon Jung-hee) encouraged her to embrace the learning process that comes with confrontation.
Amidst the chaos, a surprising change occurred. Song Tae-seop decided to put aside his competitive spirit and sincerely apologized to Lee Yi-young for not considering her feelings. He assured her that he would wait until she was sure of her decision, easing her burden.
Meanwhile, Shin Ji-soo continued his assertive approach. He casually suggested a meal together and planned a Saturday date, complete with a drive, meal, and coffee time. He even complimented her appearance, saying, "You look pretty today," as he confidently pursued her.
During her date with Shin Ji-soo, Lee Yi-young found herself constantly thinking about Song Tae-seop. Realizing the answer to her long-standing dilemma, she told Shin Ji-soo that she didn't want to keep Song Tae-seop waiting any longer and went to meet him at Shim Sae-byeok's (played by Kim So-hye) farewell party.
Finding Song Tae-seop asleep outside the restaurant, Lee Yi-young was touched by his explanation that he waited, believing she would come despite being late. Overwhelmed with emotion, she confessed her feelings, saying, "I like you," and added that she couldn't resist seeing him any longer.
Song Tae-seop, initially taken aback, quickly felt relieved and happy, and the two sealed their new romantic relationship with a kiss. The focus now shifts to whether Shin Ji-soo will remain a supportive friend or attempt to win back Lee Yi-young's heart.
